    In...

    Usyk- 6'3"
    Kabayel- 6'3"
    Parker- 6'4"
    Dubois- 6'5"

    Out...

    Fury- 6'9"
    Wilder- 6'7'
    Joshua- 6'6"
    Hrgovic- 6'6"
    Zhang- 6'6"
    Bakole- 6'6"
    Joyce- 6'6"

Of course some of these guys will get their groove back, but I think this is meaningful.

Possibly. Until a Furyesque guy comes along, that has discipline and lives clean comes out and rules for 2 decades.

Outside of Teramoana Jr, its hard to tell who that might be. I think we all know Jalalov is not going anywhere. That leaves us with mostly shorties like Itauma, Torrez, Huni, Wardley borderline at 6'5", etc.

I think you'd have to look at the broader trajectory over the last 20 years rather than the outcomes in a single event.

Also, Dubois and Parker are big fellas. Dubois is the same height as Lennox Lewis, and a few pounds heavier. Parker is an inch taller than prime Holmes was, and somewhere between 35 and 57 pounds heavier at his recent fighting weights.

So I guess it also depends what you mean by the "giant heavyweight era."

I never bought into the SHW nonsense
If you stand over 6 feet and weigh 220 plus you are a heavyweight. What you lack in reach or height, you could make for in speed and agility
Lewis and Klitschkos were great fighters first, big guys second

Evander holyfield and Mike Tyson would also beat these big guys. They are nothing special. Hell even David Haye could probably beat them

The era sucks. You guys want it to be better than it is, but chisora still hanging around the top guys says it all

Why you always talking about Tyson and Holyfield when it's not even relevant

and Haye wouldn't have a ****ing prayer against Usyk, Usyk achieved everything at cruiser and heavy that Haye couldn't.

no, fury is not that good. he would need to be better, even if he trained right. and he would be around only till a natural hw on usyks level comes along.

Dubois is 6'5, 250lb...not exactly a small HW now is he? He would be among the biggest of any era. The only remarkable case is Usyk.

if you are a natural hw who knows how to fight to his strengths it doesnt matter how tall you are, assuming youre the average hw size. the human head doesnt gain insulation from trauma at the rate the body does with size. a natural heavy can still bounce your coconut around, no matter how tall you are. the key is being able to fight at elite level.

You are correct that weights are WEIGHTS. I still think there is something to it, here.

And yeah, we could have another giant heavyweight era, but its not this one, and its not going to be the next one.

It should be the nail in the coffin for pro athletes who don't live like and treat their bodies as professional athletes should. There's no reason Zhang and Bakole should fight as heavy as they do or carry as high a body fat percentage as they do. They could lose 20-30 lbs of excess fat and still be massive men.

Guys like AJ and Dubois will always have an edge by being very large men who also make sure they stay in fight shape the majority of the year.
