Cheers mate no problem, I find this an interesting subject. :good

My diet's plain to say the least. The only 'processed' food I'm eating at the moment is bread and tinned fish (both really cheap from Lidl lol), and a tiny bit of rice / pasta that I mix with loads of veg and a small amount of fish or chicken. And a tin of baked beans per week which I make last for 2 meals of beans on toast, my 'treat' lol (I'll have one egg on toast a couple of times a week too). Oh, and Lurpak salt free low calorie spread cos even I draw the line at plain toast..

For a nice cheap energy giving sarnie I like banana. Mix in chocolate spread, jam or peanut butter if you wanna succumb to the sugar demon and be really bad lol, but don't go too mad. Generally I avoid jams, sauces, 'spreads' etc. They don't half bump up the calories.

I avoid cakes, pastries, ice cream etc obviously. I snack and pig out on fruit, mainly apples.

    Nice one!

Yeah I've had a bit of Salmon for my Tea, but I'll give it a fortnight and see how I get on. You have to be very creative when dropping meat out your food plan as it's been a staple in my diet for years and years. Broccoli with Broccoli doesn't sound tempting! Lol.

You can bang all sorts of veg, nuts etc (pineapple's a fave of mine) into a stir fry mate and not even notice the absence of meat. Or the presence of broccoli lol. :good

I'm confused.. veganism is not using any animal products, right? so how can eggs and fish equal being a vegan? :huh

So basically just a decent diet then? Not even a true vegetarian let alone vegan.

    Yeah.

I think folk generally get too caught up in the rules and regulations of the various 'isms'. How about just eat what you like and forget about the names..

Also, people do it for various reasons. For me personally it's all about health and longevity. Although the meat trade is obviously incredibly cruel, I've no real interest in the welfare of animals cos I don't empathise with them. For others of course it's all about the animals. And then there are folk who just don't like meat..

Whatever works for you isn't it? As long as you're ripped to shreds, performing well and feeling great you're doing something right! Assuming yr not on peds lol.
