HitmanHatton: No chance, who has Haye ever sparked with one punch? When has Wlad ever been sparked with one punch?

Well maybe I was being over the top saying it would be ended in one punch. What I really meant is if Haye lands with a right hand and gets Wlad going, I think he will end the fight because IMO there isn't many better finishers then Haye in world Boxing.

Haye is an athlete, not a slow, podgey fat guy who walks in straight lines to be met with a jab everytime. In otherwords, Haye is not a typical Klitchko opponent, his movement alone will give Wlad problems.

Haye wins, i'm convinced, either Haye goes all out for an early KO, by round 3 if it's not on the cards he just needs move around Wlad and hitting and getting out of there, get Wlad chasing him, bring Wlad into unknown territory.

Athleticism + Circular movement + Good handspeed + Decent Power = Problems for Wlad.

Wlads height and reach means Haye has to step into the danger zone first. Wlad uses his height and reach as well as anyone in boxing. Wlad has beaten better heavies than Haye. Both their chins have failed them, but i would say Wlad has survived bigger punchers than Haye. So whilst i think Haye 'can' win unlike many of Wlads opponents, i don't think he will. In much the same way forrest overcame Mosleys speed and power with good technical skills and height and reach, i think Wlad will do the same, by stoppage, fairly early.

I would be delighted if you are corect No Mas. If Vitali could take Lennox's best, he can take Hayes.

Wlad was stopped by Sanders, but if he lands first against Haye, and i think he will, what do you see happening then ?

He didnt take Lennox's best, in fact most would say he took Lennox's worst and didnt succeed. A prime Lewis murders Vitali...

If ifs and buts were fruit and nuts, we would all work at cadburys...
Wlad isnt a slinger, so the likelihood of him landing first with something significant are probably less than Hayes...if he sets him up following some work with his jab then maybe Haye is in trouble but you also gotta conceed that a lumbering jab is bread and butter for Haye to counter and land a bomb on him.

It's a one punch division, if Wlad tags him flush he is ****ed...:yep

I think that Haye will have a look from distance and bide his time for Wlad to lead off... Haye will KO Wlad on the counter, make him miss and make him pay...:deal

Haye uses the same strategy for Vitali as he did for Valuev, a controlled display of pick pocket boxing with a few intermittent bombs to the body to remind Vitali to be cautious...:yep

I can see Haye drawing out some frustrations in Vitali in two ways, the first is that he will get I his head in the build up having iced his brother...:yep

The second is that Vitali will want it to much and expose himself to Haye and everyone is drawing on his fight with Lennox Lewis...:yep The World has spun round a few times since then and he is a different fighter now, forcing himself to do many things that used to come natural...:yep

You know my views, I am looking forward to how this saga plays itself out...:good

I agree in as much as I do not give Haye much of a chance, but its not because Wlad is special, hes not, but I dont believe Haye to be that good, and he is completely untested at Heavyweight.

Monte Barratt, Ruiz, Valuev and Harrison(because he froze, were all really slow predictable fighters, both in speed of thought and hand/foot.
Wlad is huge, but athletic, and for such a massive man has good hand speed.
Someone said that Haye will win by counterpunching......not a chance IMO.
Wlad doesnt commit to shots, will soften Haye up with lots and lots of jabbing and grabbing, and when Haye is tired begin to really unload on him then.

Wlad is vulnerable, but its to pressure, not to counterpunching, and Haye must really go after Wlad to win this. Im not sure thats Hayes nature, he is a counterpuncher, but he wont win by doing that.

With big bro Vitali, hes so awkward to read, so much bigger and very accurate, Haye wouldnt counterpunch him, and if he got agressive with would get met with a bigger, stronger guy who would beat him senseless.

I think Haye is at least a 4 or 5-1 shot with Wlad and longer odds with big brother.

Hahaha, I dont think youll get those odds with any bookie, but thats the odds against Haye winning IMO.
I think he has very little chance at all.
I think Klitschko will be about 4/9 with the bookies and Haye somewhere between evens and 2-1

    :think

    Not sure about this.

Compare Haye struggling to get rid of a scared shitless Harrison, a spent Ruiz and a pudding in Valuev..... to this, a world class finisher getting rid of a younger, stronger, world class #1 contender....

That is how you get the job done, not throwing a million and one bombs whilst leaving yourself wide open.

I dont think Haye struggled to get rid of any of them:

Dropped Harrison early doors, the issue wasnt he struggled it was that Fraudley was clearly not up to world level
Put Ruiz on the canvas, okay he had got on a bit but he was still a tough SOB
    Rocked Valuev, nobody else has...

People on here have coersed themselves into hating Haye so much that they have just decided to dismiss his ability. The guy is a good boxer. Suspect personality and publicity ***** maybe. But nobody can say he doesnt take his craft seriously, look at the condition he maintains even between fights.
Hate him for being a *****, but dont start ignoring his abilities because of the fact he isnt a likeable guy

I'm not as dismissive of his ability as my posts tend to suggest.

He's a good puncher and excellent athlete that has plenty of glaring flaws. One of those is his carelessness when finishing an opponent and a tendency to smother his own work.

Sure, he got the job done most times, but he's just asking to be nailed in the act - against better opponents like Klitschko. It's a tendency that most British fighters have - look at Ricky Hatton rugby tackling Collazo after knocking him down..... Tony Bellew recently, Calzaghe against Manfredo etc..... giving the opponent the chance to grab hold or cover up.

Contrast that to the video I posted or Froch getting rid of Taylor, or even Frankie Gavin stopping Lomax.

    There's a big difference.
