I disagree with the thread starter. I do think Hatton can (and will) outpoint Pac. Pacquiao's performance against de la Hoya was the performance of someone not wanting to get hit. But when Pacquiao gets close to Hatton, Hatton will actually throw punches back unlike the Golden Boy. I can see Hatton's strength wearing down Pacquiao over twelve close rounds. Those clinches are tiring and Hatton will throw a few shots on the inside before wrapping Pac up. Dont get me wrong, Pac will get his fair share of rounds by jabbing in and out and should he stand and trade then he will hold his own. But the longer the fight goes on the more it suits Hatton. Hatton will come on strong in the championship rounds and decision the P4P #1. You heard it here first (he says with gusto)...
He is if all he has to beat Hatton with is his speed as many knowledgeable posters on here seem to claim. Apparantly all Pac has to do to win is turn up, do a Willo the Wisp impression and Hatton will fall over, its not going to happen.
icemax, Sometimes in boxing it's easier said than done. Biggest problem of Hatton is if he can hit his target!?! He boxed malignaggi and Lozcano almost at will. Too bad PAC is 10x'S Faster than those two boxers. Now, do you get a clearer picture?! My prediction if PAC ko Hatton in 8 rounds! cheers!
after 3 weeks of training with a new trainer u saw the difference. what happens after another 6 months or so. according to you hatton = ruiz = hopkins = super technical fighter atschatsch
Strangely enough I feel exactly the same but have picked Hatton to win....i'm not particularly a Hatton fan but I think he is going to be way too strong in this. I'm not usually very confident with any selection I make, but I am with this one....lets bring it on, its going to be fun whilst it lasts :thumbsup
i wanted Hatton to beat Mayweather as much as anyone but it wasnt Cortez fault that he didnt win,if he actually did some inside work instead of just grabbing maybe he wouldve done better.
It's funny as Paulie was tipped to 'outslick' Hatton totally, electric jab and sweet skills.. yeah ok. Hatton is pretty good at cutting off the ring, Pac is fast, but so is PBF and he found him in the early rounds, and lets face it Pac isn't in the league of skill Maywhether is in.. Pac is easy to hit too .. it should make for a good fight.
What's the use of STRENGTH if you can't hit your target! Call david diaz, I wouldn't be surprised if he's going to bet his HOUSE that PAC's gonna win against HATTON! cheers!
i like Hatton hes a good bloke i just cant see him winning this fight. i agree with you it will be fun:good
What so Pac is not gonna get hit? Not as easy as that. Hatton has underrated footwork. Manny's footwork has never been lauded as much until De La Hoya. I agree it was astonishing for the De La Hoya fight, but only against a stationary target. Diaz is not an elite boxer. Hatton will catch Pac a number of times and get a decision.
.....says who? If I may ask?! Certainly not the boxers he recently defeated. Would you rely on what you think or what the boxers which fought pac (about speed?!)
This is a good point which I hadnt thought of! Floyd is/was a defensive master and Hatton was still able to land a couple of times. Pacquiao is awesome but defensively not in the same league as Floyd. Hatton will land. And will win.
Yup! Hatton has a plan too! To hit PAC as much as he wants like what he did to Malignaggi and Lazcano.. Problem is.. Is PAC as slow as those two?!
In that respect point taken ! :good Sadly that is the way of ESB so many posters speak in absolutes when the only absolute about his fight is that its going to be ****ing great !
