The last few days the media (and the odds makers) have really turned against Froch. I think forsure it will be a decent fight but it seems like a blowout for Jermain Taylor is the word. The same thing happened for the Cotto/Margo fight if you will remember. Thoughts.
I certainly dont think its Taylor all the way, it all depends which Taylor shows up, but Taylor at his absolute best? no hope for Froch
I don't bet on fights but if I was looking to make some money I'd bet on this one because i think it would be a 50:50 fight and the bookies probably got the wrong. Not an opportunity to win big money but definitely a good chance to make a solid profit.
The odds are getting worse now. Froch started out as the slight underdog, then he became an even bigger underdog, then it was even stevens and now, Froch is the slight favourite and gaining by the hour. You can actually get 45/23 if you back Taylor by decision on Betfair. http://www.oddschecker.com/boxing/carl-froch-v-jermain-taylor/win-market
Only seems to be SKyBet who have Froch in at 8/11 outright and the grouped rounds are in aswell.I had a quick look at oddschecker and other seemed to still have Froch 5/6 or 4/5
paddy power (irish bookies) has Froch as the favourite at odds of 4-5, pretty crap odds so i might put a bet on Tayler which are slightly better
I came within a few seconds of ripping up my betting slip, watching the fight delayed on ITV Sunday night, without knowing the result. Jeez, did Froch make that a harder fight than he needed to or what?! I think he has all the tools, but stands off his man too much, admiring his work. And sooner or later, he's gonna rue having that left hand 'guard' by his waist.......!
