Anyone recall what happened to the fighters from Channel 5's Boxing Academy?

Good call. I remember Hatton coming in to show guys how to hook to the body.

One guy had a Tyson feel and Warren picked him as the best.

 

I used to love watching that show, that was me just getting into boxing. I remember it was pretty popular with other kids in the school. I don't think any of them have done much, I keep tabs on the english amateur scene on warriorboxing.com forum and I remember hearing one of them got put out in the quarters of the ABA's or something, that's all.

i remember Adam Ixmail and the lad i think Tony Pluckrose??? he was bit like Jimmy Bullard. Ismail won the final and it was a decent show. Tony Cesay trained them and had cameos from Audley,Haye and others.

I remember the paddy tinker. He drank litres of coke a day and has a **** poor attitude but had some decent ability.

 

Ixmail won a trip to train with Tim Witherspoon in the U.S if i remember rightly. I just had a search of google and can't find a thing about them after the show as of yet.

 

The pikey lad fought on the Am circuit around my manor, didn't win too many from what i remember, loved the fact that he was on the custard though.

 

Maybe they are all on the Field Rage circuit.

 

yer i remember this, i also remember Hatton showing them a few tricks, There was a lad who stuck out for me, dont remember his name but he couldnt continue because he didnt make the weight or something like that.

 

Was doing a search on google about the names Adam and Tim Witherspoon as that's all I could remember of the show and this thread popped up.
