Apparently he's set to fight in Thailand tomorrow against WBA #5 ranked Welterweight Teerachai Kratingdaenggym . He's gone something like 2-8 in his last 10 fights and will probably lose again to the unbeaten Thai but still very strange fight.
...this is among the biggest tests of his career so far. He looks decent but pretty untested so far. Looks like a very big Welterweight.
Mabuza was very good from about 2008-2013. He was handily beating the brakes off Judah (coming off career best consecutive victories over Holt & unbeaten Fedchenko) before Zab found a lucky counter uppercut. He wasn't uncompetitive in his loss to CVH, either. Then he popped Wills' cherry and beat a sliding Hlatshwayo sandwiched by a loss to Allakhverdiev (no major shame - the Hawk went on to pop Joan Guzman's cherry and become the first person to ever knock out M'Baye...and his only defeat to date, to Vargas, is considered by many to be a robbery) The last five losses, though, indicate that he is done. Teerachai will be too young, too strong, too good.
Can't watch now, about to leave work, but solid result. By far Teerachai's biggest achievement to date. (followed by victories over Nabiev x2, Suico, and Nazareno Jr. x2)
