Well he beat up a writer at the Moorer Botha fight. His words between rounds in the Moorer fights are just a little glimpse into his psycho. Hes just too in your face for most, and in my opinion confuses fighters by almost reassuring their incapabilties. He made Moorer more passive and confused the hell out of Grant. Hes a psychologist and a stern disciplinarian and I think he tapped into that a little too much with his fighters.
helped prime tyson totitle led michael moorer to title leadinig young povetkin towards title an if you ever watched boxing ther is more than one who needs ? an he is in position do do so an by way pac is not afaraid of needles floyds afraid of pac, shane,pw and margarito.an what cred do you poses
:good I think it's also 'cause, as a trainer (& sometimes as a commentator), he lectures too much. "There comes a point in a man's life..." like every fuggin fight. There comes a point when what? You want me to use the jab more in the 9th round? Get to the point, Atlas!... If cliches didn't exist, Teddy wouldn't know how to complete a sentence.
dude watch the fight it's a clear robbery,Augustus got screwed in that fight. At one point the referee took a point away from Augustus for absolutely nothing, just because he was getting annoyed by Augustus's showboating. douchebag or not, he had balls to point out that they were clearly wrong.
You obviously did not see this fight, and again, obviously, don't know what you're talking about. Anyone who sat down and watched that entire fight would have been right behind Teddy in support of what he did and said. Dude is very tightly wound and can at times be overbearing, but he was totally in the right with his reaction after this fight.
Teddy was angry! haha. How the **** did the official not know the difference between a majority and a split descision? :L
He did not help prime Tyson. He worked in Tyson's corner was Tyson was a 16 year old amateur. His shining moment in his career came with Moorer when Atlas was doing all these dramatic speeches, and then Moorer went right out there and slept-walk some more, probably cautious from taking that spill in round 2. Moorer fought with way more heart in fights before and after Atlas. Atlas is obviously knowledgable, but is often amazingly overrated as a pro trainer.
Because he's a hypocrite who embarasses his fighters in front of the camera, probably hoping to bring attention to himself. He publicly cries out against mismatches but had no problem putting his fighters in there with guys that don't belong in the ring with them. He does all this dramatic **** with the cameras in front of him. Michael Grant was in the ring before the fight and Atlas starts telling him about how he "doesn't want to see him paralyzed by his insecurity and fear" and **** like that. You couldn't have told him this in the locker room?
