How was it? I'm a huge Meldrick Taylor fan and just months ago became a JP fan because he has a similar "pull no punches" attitude as MT. I saw Froch-Pascal and Pascal-Diaconu 1 and would like to hear some input on Diaconu-Pascal 2. Jean Pascal isn't brought up enough so I made a thread about him...........
I thought it was just as good as the first one, although it didn't get as much pub. Pascal was beating him pretty good early on, but his shoulder kept dislocating, and he fought half the fight with one arm. Diaconu was able to come back some when Pascal was hurt. I used to hate Pascal, but now I like to watch him fight. I still think he'll get whomped by Dawson though. Just not disciplined enough, even though he might have more pure talent.
It was a good fight but nowhere near as good as the first one.Pascal was wining easily then he dislocated his shoulder and it was still early in the fight.Diaconu won some rounds because Pascal was fighting only with one arm at one point but Diaconu didnt look impressive at all.Pascal still managed to win an UD while dislocating his shoulder couple of times in the fight.
It was a good fight, not a great one and not as good as the first, but not bad by any stretch. If you're a Pascal fan, it's a must-watch just to see the guts he fought with.
Thanks for the input. About 10 mins ago I saw the 8 round and Pascal was really letting his hands go. Interesting how one of you thought it was just as good as the first and the other thought it wasn't. I'll wait until someone posts the whole fight on utoobe.
Good fight, but I felt Pascal was a very deserving winner. A hard fight with a clear decision if that makes sense
