is he actually shot now or was estrada fighting really well? its a shame because in his prime i believe campbell would be competitive vs most lightweights including duran. but his prime only lasted a year or so. it is sad to see someone who has fought so hard to get to a levell, suddenly lose it beacuse his body wont do it no more.
Everything I've heard indicates he was shot. He was starting to fade by the Funeka fight, but the Bradley fight messed him up pretty bad. Add age to that, and it's just not a good recipe.
I saw the 2nd half of the fight. His power still looked there but his stamina was gone and he wasnt using any technique at all. It was as if he was only planning to take Estrada out with just one punch. He's done.
for a smart, patient and technical fighter than relied on out-thinking and (i hate the term) slickness, looking for one big shot is the official sign you're done
I thought Campbell looked like a shot or near shot fighter against Ortiz. I remember some Ortiz fans disagreeing with me at the time but I saw a fighter who just couldn't pull the trigger anymore. I was never a huge fan of Campbell but I didn't mind him either. I know he retired but I wouldn't be shocked if he fights some young gun again.
Campbell was shot in the Ortiz fight you could see he couldn't pull the trigger anymore. Sucks that he didn't have a better career because he had good talent.
