Pro's vs. Joes? Hilarity. There's a thread with several hundred posts in it in the general boxing forums where EVERY poster there, literally, is completely confident they could beat boxers lighter than themselves. Flashforward to reality and we have a 44 year old Whitaker, after being a crackhead for years, out of shape kicking the **** out of 220 pound men. While laughing. While they can't touch him. An ancient shot Gatti was actually letting loose and damn near killing guys over 200 pounds. People don't seem to understand the facets of being a fighter. The abilities, skills and mentalities these guys have.

Considering his age/condition and everything else, pretty incredible. Those guys are all athletes of some kinds themselves, too.
I saw both. It was obvious that either of them could have knocked their guys out if they felt like it. The guys they fought were all screwed up after it too. I was laughing when the one was acting like they weren't going easy.
even though i do say that some of the other esb guys might be able to box as they do know the sport or at least respect the techniques. they would get murded by a decent shape guy. pernell and gatti may be small in hieght but they are strong men and can judge there distance and land at will because the other guy dont know what they are doing. this is also a reason why i feel boxing is a more rounded self defence than most martial arts becuase the main idea is to land the hardest and throw the fastest shots possible. people who like mma seem to think that boxing is one dimensiional should look at most of the strikers in the sport today. thats really made my day that pernell left cross
I certainly would. Even an old washed-up fat coke-addict Tyson could throw that one punch. I wouldn't mind seeing a guy like Toney on there. Lay on the ropes and just pick the guys off.
