he's gone in to hiding after ducking porter.... In all seriousness the amount of time it took for him to sign the fight in the first place and now pulling out (or postponing), it really doesn't look good. IMO the fight will get cancelled and he'll fight another ABC Al Haymon bum
Funny how there are no details about the car accident (What city and state did it occur in? What happened?) aside from DiBella saying that Thurman was wobbled by the airbag. :yep
He was backing out of his driveway, "forgot" the gear was in drive, went straight through the garage door :nut No witnesses. Airbag deployed.
Straight up ducked Porter. bet the fight won't be rescheduled now. Thurman getting over cold feet and trying to mentally prepare himself.
“The airbag probably did most of the damage,” he reflected. “It hit me upside of my head—hit me harder than most fighters wish they could. It was like having my hands down being at a bar and enticing Marcos Maidana to hit me three times with overhand rights.” So he got into a bar fight with Maidana & got his ass beat.
A lot of people thought I was crazy saying Porter would brutalize and stop One Time......well I guess Keith agrees with me.:yep
It's more than frustrating... giving himself 1 month to "recover" and then needing another 2 months to train again to be ready to fight? ... I'm sure most people here who have ever had a car accident and whiplash can testify that 1 week is plenty of time to recover and would only delay the fight by 1 month rather than 3+ months.
I've had whiplash from a minor car accident, I couldn't turn my neck for about 2 days, it was stiff for about a week and after that it slowly went back to normal, by two weeks it was fine.
