yes but still it wasnt a technical knockout man and chagaev was stopped after 6 yes but,he was allowed to carry on for 3 more reounds with a very bad cut,and it wasnt really pointless sending arce out for the last, coulda scored a dramatic late ko,you never know m8!

Arce had done nothing during the five preceeding rounds to suggest he was going to score a KO. You have to consider the health of a fighter and, given the evidence on display, the only person likely to get KO'd in that last round was Arce.

That would be my preference for the next fight.

Just caught the segment on Ingo after the fight, classy touch by Setanta.
In case anyone from setanta is reading (Bunce?) a suggestion: could this not have been shown before the main event? ie start an hour earlier?
I can't imagine many would have seen this live and I only caught it because I Sky + 'd it.

It would be logical since thats his only loss, and he's improved somewhat. It would probably be attractive to Donaire, he probably figures he already beat him once, and Darchinyan is on the crest of a wave right now.

    Otherwise Montiel.

Talks of Vasquez seem a little out there to me. I'd rather Vasquez was concerned with goings on in his own division. Juanma needs a defining fight now.

Montiel can't make 115 anymore so will now campaign at bantam along with Cristian Mijares. I think Vic can definitely be succesful at 118 so I would like to see him move up after a fight with Donaire. Not really much else at 115 for Vic besides Munoz. Mijares/Montiel would be a real purist's fight which would also be interesting.

I know what you mean about Vic/Vazquez and I only mentioned it because Vic himself had expressed an interest in the fight. It would be quite an audacious move but one I still find intriguing. You're right though, in reality Juanma should be the man getting a shot at Vazquez.

I suppose if you were desperately searching the super fly cupboard for viable opponents he could try Gorres, see if he can go one better this time. Good fighter....but it does not set the pulses racing and would seem like a step down.

Moving up to 118 seems the only logical route. It's only 3lbs at the end of the day, and all the attractive fights are there now.

    122 is an unneccessary step.
