about the super six tourney? that its just too good to be true, it won't flourish or come into fruition, acts of sabotage, injuries, money and all the usual politricks as LL would say will somehow ruin it, its just surreal seeing all those promoters and fighters going around continents together promoting it, its like a dream or something, its hard enough getting two promoters together to make one fight 2 years is a long, long time sorry to be pessimistic, but you learn to be when your a boxing fan
Yeah, I probably should be more pressimistic, because such an attitude is required to be a sober assessor of the sport. Unfortunately, I'm way too excited about this and will probably suffer because of it.
My guess is that by the end of 2010, we'll have at least one fill in in the tournament. It wouldn't surprise me if one of the Semi-finalist pulled out. BUT...I think too often with that attitude. Let's try to be happy happy joy joy on this one.
It doesn't look like it will be a problem, but I'm quite irritated with Ward for going to Mexico at a time like this - with his dumb ass, contracting Swine Flu or whatever the **** it was. I know mentally handicapped disabled ******ed human vegetables with better sense.
are you sure he's said that? its realistic and admirable but not something you'd expect him to say this early
the main problem i think is gonna be one or more fighters pulling out, i suppose it would make sense for them to admit its "inevitable". My feeling is taylor might be the main candidate for a pull out, the guy is fragile especially mentally and is one bad loss away from breaking down i do think they must have a contingency plan in a tourney of this magnitude
It's all good, though. According to Goosen during the NYC presser, the Mexican doctors put Andre on "antebeeotics."
If someone takes a bad beating in the first round. It's gonna be hard pulling themselves together with such tough opposition awaiting.
