Can anyone justify Floyd not being #1 P4P?

Absolutely not. There's always contrarians out there though. I've seen people honestly try to argue that Marquez should be p4p number 1. Floyd is the very definition of p4p. It's possible that he can unify titles in two different weight classes in consecutive fights.

I absolutely agree. I just wanted to see if someone could give reasonable reasoning to the contrary.

Wladimir KlitschKO is at number 1 P4P. Who made up that for Ward?

So are you sayimg that if Floyd was a HW with the same skillset or Vlad was a WW with the same skillset, Vlad beats Floyd?

    Floyd is number #1

Ward at best is #2 but really should prob be dropped or made into 2b.
(Inactivity & lack of comp is killing him right now)

Guy barely fights, happy to fight in front of 4k fans. He is a great fighter but totally lacks big occasions to prove himself under the pressure of the spotlight. He has no one to fight in the SMW division, if he took a LHW title he'd be right up there.

One fight that barely generated any attraction outside hardcore boxing followers?

No, I am not saying that. Everyone belongs to his weight division. It is just that Wladimir KlitschKO has fought better opponents. If you want to make a parallel to Floyd v Canelo, it would be like Wladimir KlitschKO fighting Deontay Wilder on October 5.

True buts just because he's not as popular , it shouldn't take away from his talent ! Ricky Hatton is ten times more popular than Ward ,no one ever had him in the top 3 p4p ..

Nobody had Ward as #1 p4p. Floyd was #1 and was briefly replaced when he retired and Pacqaio was knocking everyone out. There were talks of who is #1 p4p Floyd or Pacqio when Floyd unretired and some had him as #1 and some had PAcquaio who was busier and fought better competition at the time. Now we have a clear #1 p4p in Mayweather.
