I noticed on a thread about these two fighting, people were very split about the outcome. Many predicting Chavez Jr to win (glad to say I wasn't one of the fools). What do you think now?
I'm pretty sure I picked Alvarez on that thread (which came after Chavez-Duddy), and that certainly hasn't changed.
This fight has no effect on a Jr/Canelo fight at all, IMO. Beating a done for Baldomir is a decent name for a young upcoming fighter and probably the right steps to building him up, but it doesnt say a whole lot, at least IMO. For the record, i think JR could wear Baldo down and stop him.... (although, if it was JR who did it instead, he would be getting criticed for fighting Baldo) I think JR could be more then competetive with Canelo but i realise id be the minority on that pick.
Knocking Baldomir out like that was some statement, kirk. I gotta respectfully disagree with you; Junior would win like 120-108 but wouldn't get rid of Tata.
