I think people are selling Baldo short here he has better boxing skills than people are willing to give him credit for. While I think Forrest will win Baldo will make a fight of it and if Forrest's old arm injury flares up he could be in trouble. One thing is for sure one will be the next WBC belt holder.:yep

Baldomir will be there for 12 rounds and he'll make Vernon work for it. He won't win though. Forrest is a much more polished fighter and that will be the difference.

Forrest isn't the same guy who beat SHane, but he's still miles above Baldomir. Forrest is 6' with a big reach advantage. And he knows how to use it. Baldomir's shorter and wasn't even a big WW, and while technically sound, was NOT close to the hitter Forrest was @ 147.

I'm a HUGE Forrest fan, but with only one hand I don't know if he can keep the limited but totally relentless Baldomir at bay. Prime Forrest destroys Baldomir any day, but the one that fought Quartey was very lucky that Quartey hangs back late in fights and allows the other guy to survive. Quartey fought like total **** that fight (as did Forrest) but Baldomir won't make that same contract. He'll force Forrest to fight and with one hand, I don't know if he can do it.

I would love, LOVE to see the old Forrest in there tonight because he can make a lot of noise at 154, but I suspect we'll never see it again.

I think Forrest has the advantage. Forrest is alot taller and I think will be able to fight on the outside & control the fight with his jab.Baldomir is a bit plodding and has much ground to cover to get on the inside were he can be effective, and has to slip the jab. At the same time tough , the two Mayorga fights should be in the back of everyones mind.

How a fighter dominates Mosley twice, but then loses twice to Mayorga I will never understand.

You could be right. I would prefer Baldomir to win as I like him better, but think Forrest has the edge.

Besides Baldomir is a recent Floyd Mayweather opponent, and all his recent opponents have been getting destroyed lately. Like Gatti, Judah, Castillo, Mitchell, Corley.

Forrest is way past it, and Baldo is a good fighter, just because Floyd embarrassed him it does not mean much. He destroyed Gatti, and beat Judah convincingly. Baldo wins a decision

Baldo is going to stop Forrest. Somewhere in the 10th round. Baldo is a tough fighter. Very strong. He will wear down Forrest who will look good in the first few rounds. But eventually Baldy's strentgh will prevail.
