I don't see it being like either of their last fights....

Cotto to me was ordinary - obviously top class but showed nothing we havent seen before. to me he loses points for taking five to get a tomato can, however brave, out of there

Margarito was really impressive - from the tv cameras, it appeared cintron was landing pretty much at will yet tony kept walking forward and imposing his will.

close fight - i just favour margarito by late stoppage - breaking cotto down by sheer aggression.

I agree, I also wasn't blown away by Cotto's performance against Gomez. He did some good counterpunching in that fight, but overall he was just lunging in, throwing a combo, and dancing out. It wasn't a demonstration of skill, it was a demonstration of superior balance and raw strength.

Cotto could have took Gomez out earlier.. After round one, Cotto knew he had this won and took it easy.. He even let some rounds go at the end..

Cotto has more power in his jab than Cintron has in that overrated right hand of his. Also, Cotto is faster

I don't think this fight will resemble the cintron fight in the least bit. If you saw the fight it was clear that cintron couldn't handle the work margo was giving him to the body. This would not be the case with cotto. If Margo does hurt cotto, which he probably will at some point in the fight, it will most likely be a head shot. Straight right or upper cut. I see this fight playing out very similar to the Judah fight. I'm not comparing margo to Judah, Margo is probably a better fighter than Judah, but I can see the fight playing out in the same fashion. I do see Margo hurting cotto at times but I predict cotto will wear him down, not margo wearing cotto down like many of you have suggested, like he did judah. Margo had his hands very full with a game Clottley until clottley hurt his hand. I see cotto presenting the same problems and some for margo that clottley did. Yea Margo has a solid beard but we will all see how he takes those brusing shots to the body cotto delivers. It should be a great fight and I'll be rooting for Cotto, but it should be exciting no matter who wins.

I'm going to say there is no possible way that this fight resembles the Judah fight for one very obvious reason - Margarito is going to actually punch back. Judah landed 9 punches per round according to the always exaggerated Compubox. In this case Compubox may have actually gotten it right because Judah threw so little a grade school student could have counted them all, but it was probably something more like 5 punches a round. Cotto was able to completely have his way with Judah because Zab acted like a punching bag with legs. Cotto had to deal with very, very, very little return fire. Margarito is going to do something entirely different and that's throw, throw, throw.

I'm also not sure why you think Cotto will take the body shots no problem. Margarito is one of the best in the sport along with Cotto at doing damage down there.

No ****ing way, not a chance. Cintron stood there getting demolished with only a tentative left-right combination for response. He made Margarito's jab look like Larry Holmes', it was pathetic.

Cotto will not stand there like a sandbag; he'll keep Margarito off balance and move inside his jab where he'll inflict damage. Margarito needs room to extend his big looping uppercuts, he hopes to use his leverage and keep Cotto at the end of his jab like he did with Cintron.

I don't see this happening with Cotto.

I mean a ****ing snowpile wouldn't make Margarito's jab look like Larry's, how pathetic is that?

Cotto will find a way to beat this toughest challenge in Margarito. I can't explain it but I feel that this will be the result. But I can be wrong; I just can't wait for the fight which will be in 9 days.

    This thread is just... woa...

Cotto has beaten Judah, Mosley, Malignaggi, Quintana. Cintron would not even beat the current Quintana.
