Yes, he can...why cant he? It was split decision bout last time..In all honesty, I had it a draw. That being said, of course he can win..tthe flip side is that he can also lose. Remember, or rather dont forget...if nothing else..he always...always....has the proverbial punchers chance to win at any time....I will go on record as saying he will win this time....

He didn't want to win the first time so he can have this rematch. At this stage of his career, its all about the money. He's a future hall of famer, his legacy is secure. If he would of use the jabs doing the later rounds in the first fight, it would have been an easy victory for him.

What struck me about the first fight was the amount of success Oscar had with the jab, Floyd seemed a little out of character, feet stuck to the ring.

Yeah, I think he can win, so long as he trains harder and doesn't abandon the jab he has a great chance at winning the fight.
He should learn from his mistakes the last time and improve on his gameplan.

If Oscar finds a way to land his left hand he can beat him but I don't think he will. The old Oscar was fast enough to do some damage to Floyd but I don't know about Oscar today. Oscar will have to find a way to fight make Floyd go forward and counterpunch but that is like saying he has to find a way to make water run uphill. Floyd is open on the offence and is not squared up enough to block a counterpunch if it is timed right. But you have to be a quick powerful puncher to hurt him. If DLH studies Leonard's dismantling of Mayweather Sr.'s defence he might have a chance.

The biggest problem is not that DLH doesn't stand a chance - he does - but there are better fights than sparring-like 12 rounders out there - why not Cotto-DLH, Mayweather-Mosley etc. but most of all Floyd-Cotto?

Yes, IMO DLH's win is not impossible but I just can't see right now. Yes, IF with Floyd senior who actually trained the 2007 Floyd for a week (VERY important expreience) DLH can bring back his great jab, can be effective at the ropes AND his stamina, speed and accuracy will be better because he'll have a tune-up fight to get back his great reflexes, maybe. But after the 7th his stamina will be a problem again. He can't do anything. He was great against Tito in the first 6, lost the last 6. Mosley became more and more aggressive in the later rounds. Hopkins actually said that "that's my round" after he caught DLH more shots than before and that was his round - body KO. Stamina was ALWAYS a problem. If it wasn't, DLH would be undefeated. But he's now 38-5. There are no 'IF's in boxing.

So the skills are there, the age is not a big factor but the stamina is. I dare to say if Oscar wouldn't knock out Cotto in the first 6 he would get knocked out because the real pressure is coming from the 7th round on.

I didn't think it was Floyd's best performance against Oscar, but he came back great against Hatton. If he repeats that performance, Oscar has no chance.

However, if FMJ takes him lightly (sure he won't), and Oscar jabs for the first six rounds, then finds an alternative tactic for the second half of the fight, he has a chance.

Ricky Hatton is no DLH, Floyd has stated that countless times.
