Anyone think Floyd would have beaten a prime DLH?

Your opinion on Floyd is void because judging by your previous posts on Mayweather you just cant separate your dislike for him from the reality on his actual ability.

If he barely won when DLH was past his prime, I think a prime DLH would had win.

nope a past prime Oscar fought Floyd to a close decision so I see a prime one probably stopping him in the 12th round with a left hook

floyd 2008 ricky hatton vs ODLH prime trinidad...

i'm gonna have to go with Floyd because of his superior conditioning. Oscar was obviously tired and got on his bicycle seat against Trinidad. I've yet to see floyd run in the later rounds.

    btw...floyd by Controversial Decision.

This would have been a great fight at 147. PBF would have won via UD by 4/6 rounds. PBF moved up in weight and gave up loads of weight on night of fight.

Fight to see will be PBF V Pacman if it ever comes off.

PBF has been one of the greatest fighter in last 5/6 years. Has speed, defence, good loooks, had family disputes with his dad, uncles etc and still fought great. That said allegations of domestic troubles are not great and could have been managed better. We are not perfect though. Hope he avoids the slammer as we need to see him fight pacma with pbf winning.

I'd take Mayweather at 130, 135, 140, 147 and 154 over the best versions of De La Hoya at those weights.
I just watched and scored their fight and scored it 117-111 nine rounds to three for Mayweather. It may not have been De La Hoya at his best but he was still very good and would have beaten everyone out side of Mayweather and Mosley at the time.

Floyd has won every fight from the time he turned pro. De la Hoyle even in his younger days was still beatable, so it would be unwise to say that Floyd couldn't have beat him just cause De la Hoyle was younger. I admit the fight would have been more interesting though.

ODLH beat Tito at WW had two close bouts with Ike and Sweet Pea and a close loss to a prime SSM. Floyd has not gotton into the ring with the Quility of any of these guys at WW so I would have to give the edge to Oscar for resume, @ H2H it looks about even, PBF will dodge a lot of Oscars (ineffective) fluries , but not do enough him self to get the win, IMO

Think back to Oscar against Quartey and Mosley and co. and tell me if he was prone to ineffective flurrying like in the Mayweather fight during his prime though. He wasn't.

If Oscar boxed more (then when he fought Floyd), he loses by a bigger margin.

If he tries to apply pressure, the fight would be very similar, perhaps a little closer at 115-113. Floyd would still adapt and Oscar would still fade.

    Floyd's just a superior fighter.

P4P the floyd of 130 against the oscar of 147, Floyd wins rather big.

I was thinking more of his bout with another defence wizard in Sweet Pea, where I thought his mostly ineffective fluries/ aggression won him the match.

That reminds me, whilst they do have different styles, I rate a prime Floyd as a better fighter than a clearly out of his prime Whitaker.

And an out of his prime Whitaker beat Dela Hoya (IMO). Dela Hoya may still have been a little green at that stage though.
