Anyone think Froch's downfalls could win him the fight tonight?

This is actually a 60/40 fight in favour of Ward in my opinion.

Wards given frock a false sense of security though and that will be the difference in this fight.

 

He has an iron set of whiskers and gives it everything and has complete confidence in his abilities. He is elite level, and if he can draw Ward into the inside and to stand and trade he stands a chance. A mid to long range boxing match and he loses a decision.

Yeah, an odd post. Especially when you consider that Froch was beaten by Kessler due to his shortcomings on the inside.

 

Everybody is talking bout froch fighting on the inside but Froch might use his jab tonight like he did in the abraham fight, he has 4 inch reach advantage on ward, I know ward is fast but 4 inch is a big reach advantage and if froch boxes him from range he could make it difficult for him as well as fighting on the inside

 

Highly doubtful anything Froch could potentially do wins him the fight. Ward has better movement and speed, is far slicker and shorter punching on the inside, has more reliable defence and reflexes.

All Froch is going on is strength and supposed power, and he knows it judging by everything he's said in the build up. Of course these are key factors but to expect it to decide the fight against someone like Ward is hopeful.

If ward fights on the inside tonight like Peterson did last week it's gonna be a long night for Carl

 

Overhand Right all night long. Johnson, Pascal, Taylor all caught him hard with that shot. The whole myth that Ward is feather-fisted is going to be exposed tonight. He's feather-fisted because he didn't knock out Kessler? Or Abraham? Did Froch KO either of those men?

Froch is going to struggle tonight. It's very unfortunate though because he's a hell of a fighter and he doesn't deserve to be embarrassed. Lets hope he keeps it close and doesn't let Ward accumulate rounds easily from the first bell. I can't see a knockout from either fighter.

There's virtually no comparison between the way Peterson/Ward and Froch/Khan go about there work on the inside.

Ward is MUCH better and more skilled than Lamont on the inside and Froch is not a total amatuer like Khan.

 

The jab is the key, Froch must throw it fast and hard even if it's just hitting Wards gloves but he has to bring that left hand back to his head rather than have it hanging around his kneecaps.

I think Froch will win by stoppage, Froch will land something big at some point and I don't think Ward can take that power.

 

Is that a prediction from the head or heart? I honestly think Froch is going to land on those gloves all night. No way is he landing cleanly on Ward at virtually any point. God I hope I'm wrong but I can only see Froch picking up rounds on work-rate and by acting as the aggressor.
