Anyone think Froch's downfalls could win him the fight tonight?

I hope I'm wrong but I think Ward is all wrong for Froch. I think it's gonna be a hard fight to win, he needs a good gameplan and needs to stick to it throughout (unless it isn't working of course).

I think it might be better for him to keep it long. He's a couple of inches taller I think and has about 5-6 inches on him reach wise so hopefully he makes good use of the jab.

 

Froch's ability to fight a number of ways and to make adjustments in fights give him a shot here. The fighters that Ward beat were all pretty one dimensional and once he had their measure the fights got one-sided.

I don't think Carl is as predictable as that and could box at range and throw long looping shots or draw Ward into a brawl. Which way would be most effective for him I don't know, as Ward is a very talented fighter at short range and with superb speed and basics. But the point is that Froch could, could make adjustments needed to win.

 

Froch will come on late in the fight IMO. Really wouldn't be surprised to see Froch have Ward in the trenches at some point. Froch to drag him in by round 8.

IMO this fight maybe a let down due to the fact there is so much on the line. I dont think there will be much in the first 4 rounds, which basicaly means ward could be 4 point ahead going into the 5th, and then its just a case of whether froch can stop ward or win 7 out of 8 rounds (which he wont)

That said I hope froch smahes the **** to bits and brings the titles back to the UK

 

Froch doesn't even hit very hard.
