Anyone think Guerrero can pull off an upset this weekend?

I don't know about anyone else, but I really like this fight.

Guerrero is 29, in his prime, he's a south paw, throws lost of punches, he has a good jab, he's tall, he can fight dirty to...

The last few rounds of the Cotto fight have made me question Floyd a little bit.... Cotto looked ready to fall but for one reason or another Floyd could put him away.

Did he gas down the stretch?
Did he just decide to coast & carry Cotto the full 12?
Or is he unable to pull the trigger anymore?

I think this could be a really good fight, I see some similarities to Hatton v Mayweather. Guerrero having early success but Floyd starts to take over from the middle round onwards.

It's fair to say that Guerrero is much better than Hatton, and Mayweather is not as good as he was back in 07.

Hardly sticking my neck on the line but I'm going for a Floyd UD in a really close and cracking fight.

    Thoughts?

Floyd is not as effective at 154 compared to 147. I actually think floyd will break him down and stop him late. RG will be aggressive and give it a good go but its nowhere near enough to hang with floyd let alone beat him.

    Easy fight for Mayweather.

  5. I'm of a similar opinion obviously floyd is the better boxer but if Guerrero jumps him like he did berto then he will ask least ask questions
I think floyd will be made to work and maybe bloodied abit like the cotto fight but ultimately time Guerrero in the later rounds and beat him down for a stoppage coupled with exhaustion in a decent test where both men come out with heads held high

No but it will be closer than people think - maybe 8/4 something like that.

I do. Then again i had money on Audley to win by KO on Saturday and didn't think the Khan or Murray fights would be at all competitive.

Plenty of fighters have tried to overwhelm Floyd with activity and all it does is give him more opportunities to score. Guerrero can box pretty well, but he's not Pernell Whitaker and Floyd's better at it.

Everything Guerrero does well, Floyd does better. He might be younger, but he's not naturally bigger or stronger or faster.

    Really?

Cotto, Ortiz, Mosley, Marquez, DelaHoya, Hatton, Baldomir, Judah, Mitchell, Gatti...

Out of all of those only Hatton tried to overwhelm him.... It's been over a decade since Corrales & Castillo. Floyd not the same fighter anymore.

Ortiz's plan was to bull Floyd to the ropes and mug him. Cotto was a bit more thoughtful, but was mostly trying to get it done against the ropes. I'd say both were trying to overwhelm Floyd with their physical strength and size.

Workrate is the answer to many of Floyd's challenges, but you need to be defensively adept, adaptable and possess a brutal jab too.

All depends how much Floyd has aged in the last year. Father time caught up with Sergio Martinez last weekend...it will happen to Floyd eventually...

What about Guerrero is so exceptional to make you think this?
