Ortiz looks huge at 147 ,probably in the first few rounds his size and brute strength will make Floyd a little uncomfortable and hesitant . But come mid rounds , well its the same thing everytime ,we all know what happens.....

You thought Floyd looked huge. We know victor is huge. 161 against berto. 157 at the 30 day weigh in while Floyd was 149.

Great post, I think you summed it up well, "manipulate" would prob have been a better description than "abuse" but a great analysis all in all :good

I got odds of 11/1 on an Ortiz win and I threw a tenner on it. I'd love to see him to it. Part of me thinks he might be able to turn it into a brawl but another part of me see's Cortez constantly breaking them apart and another part of me again fears a Gatti style annihilation.

When has anyone, thought(or known) to be bigger and stronger, been a problem for Mayweather, for more than a few moments?

    Problem solved!

Floyd will dominate this kid. Thinking otherwise because of size and strength is foooooooolish.

Unfortunately it's not a body building contest. Ortiz defense and chin is average.Ortiz will be lively early in the contest but carrying that much muscles.Floyd the faster guy, as soon as Ortiz fades, which i predict he will in the fight.Floyd will start to brutalize Victor in epic fashion with his speed and precision. That's is all.It will be like target practice.Ortiz is not hard to hit hence why he will be target practice for Floyd when Ortiz fades.I saw Floyd aiming his shot to the body in the training videos.I believe it will end sooner than later. Those body shots will take it's toll.

    Floyd TKO 9.

i see him giving floyd problems early on. he has big power but on top of that he has great speed too. if ortiz is aggressive early on he will force mayweather to retreat. i know floyd says he's going to meet him in the centre of the ring, but i don't think he will once he feels ortiz'z strength and power. it will be attack vs defense early on and i can see vic winning a couple of the early rounds purely based on vics aggression.

thing is, its hard to keep up that pace for 12 rounds, especially when floyd is constantly catching you coming in. floyd gradually figures you out, adapting to your style, making you miss more and more and returning with good counters.

i see it being a comfortable decision for floyd. maybe 8 rounds to 4 or something.

Size won't be a factor in this fight... Floyd will control this, but he might get hit like against Mosley, if he takes it too easy here.
Anyway Ortiz is all about heart and confidence, and he's gonna need it to get through this one.

Generaly most of these big matches lately haven't really been that big, just hype.
Instead look forward to Ward vs Froch or Bernard Hopkins vs Chad Dawson.
