Anyone think Pacquiao vs Mayweather not happening March 13th was planned.

it seems more like arum is the one stopping the fight.

Sadly, the only source in this I'd trust is Al Haymon. And he doesn't do interviews.

It's safe to say Floyd scuppered the first negotiations with the PED testing demands. The lack of noise this time round is encouraging - suggests the main parties are serious about it instead of scoring points about who's right and who's wrong.

Arum's not as involved as you'd think. It's not in his interests to scupper it.

    you sure about that.

Lets say Pacquiao vs Mayweather is worth £100million, and Pacquiao vs Margorito/Cotto (i.e a top rank fighter) is worth £50million. Either way he is getting a percentage of £50million. It would be in Arums intrest to make Pacquiao vs Top Rank as he gets the same amount of money, and he gets a guarenteed win?

Problem is there has been noise. they said they wouldnt talk but Arum, Roach none of them can keep there mouths shut.

Yeah, I thought this at the time. Everything went to easy, like the purse and other ring size etc.

Hopefully it will happen. I don't think the fight will be very entertaining to be honest but the hype will be immense.

Ultimately, Manny calls the shots with who he fights. Same as Floyd does.

If the fight doesn't come off, promoters can't be excuses.

Floyd will fight who he wants. His promoters will do what he says. Pacquiao will do what Roach and Arum tell him to.

It did cross my mind that they might wait until the economy picked up a little, rather than have it while still in recession, which possibly may have hit sales.

This. If they did that, they've gone too far. I don't think it was planned though. Pac is my favourite fighter but I've stopped following this ****. Now I don't read the millions of Pac v May threads (except this one), I don't bust a nut whenever DLH tells us that the fight is almost done, I don't even argue with the joyboys. None of that. I'm not expecting **** to happen, just so I won't be left dissapointed.

Same with Klits v Haye. Don't know if that'll ever happen either. Sometimes this sport pisses me off so much.

    Will Gamboa ever fight Lopez?
    Will Alexander ever fight Bradley?
    Will Groves fight De Gale?
    Will Fury fight Chisora?

I'm not blaming any one person for any of these fights not happening. I'm not gonna argue about wo's ducking who, which promoter is being a **** and which one is being reasonable etc. **** that ****, it is what it is.

But these mother****in snakes will never understand. You heard Bob Arum say it directly "**** the fans". Like an idiot I'll continue to get excited over Friday fight night, watching one of our overhyped prospects beat up on some guy from Latvia with a 12-6 record. I'll do that ****, but man, sometimes I almost wish the sport would just be finished off. I would be so excited if Pac fought Mayweather, and if Pac beat him, that would be an awesome moment. I might even feel like crying because I would be so happy, but part of me just wants the whole world to Boycott that ****. Of course it won't happen but imagine if the fight was finally signed and no one bought tickets. No one watched the 24/7, no one ordered the PPV and the whole world just said "**** you!". Of course I would feel sorry for Pac if that happened, but what a message that would be.

and Robpalmer must be Leonard Ellerbe. What a load of ****

when you gonna fight somebody your own size?

Floyd:It aint up to me, it aint up to me, that's up to my promoters

Floyd:well boxing doesn't work like that

Does that ring a bell Rob? I ****in doubt it. Take peice of **** quotes likes that to the general forum. Floyd does what he wants but Pac doesn't? GTFO here with that ****.
