I don't pay it. It's free for me. Is ESPN free in America? I have no idea.

PPV's are pricey these days. The undercards are usually crap too. It's really not worth the $60. If a whole months worth of cable tv is about $100, $60 for 30 minutes that you can see the next week is a bit much. For the price, we should be getting like 2 mega fights on a card!

A movie is 2 about hours, costs hundreds of millions to make, it also costs money to maintain those theaters...and it's only $10. Much better dollar to entertainment ratio there.

But, people must be paying the high PPV prices, because if people weren't they would be able to charge so much for so long now.

Depends on who's fighting, a fight like Cotto/Pac is completely worth it.

I pay 3.50 for all the PPV events and get 24 hour acess to whatever is on in that time frame in HD bufferless stream

Me and my roommates bought Floyd-JMM, will be hard to convince them to get another one unless its Floyd-Pac. Yeah I would like to see $30-40 especially if its a **** undercard. No one would have a problem paying $50-60 if the undercard included other name fighters.

this fight is worth the 55$ and that is canadian dollars. but wouldn't it be great to see some young contenders for free? and i think the big names could throw us a bone once in a while.

sometimes 25 is too much even this card other then the main event really isn't a blockbuster ppv. but they are going to charge as much as they want for as long as they can get people to pay it

It absolutely costs too much! Boxing is slowly becoming an elitist sport, and many are unwilling to pay $50 even if they can technically afford it. PPV's are just one more thing that makes me hate what boxing has become.

The least they could do is provide a really good undercard, with several compelling, competitive fights. That way people don't want to throw their remote control through the TV screen if the main event ends because of an accidental headbutt or something, or ends in a round.

Its expensive. But if you do it right the night gets even better. Get the grill going. Invite some friends. Tell some of them to bring the drinks and others to bring some steaks. 4-5 guys and may be the wives. Good night with friends and you will not spend that much money. Going out would be more expensive

^ yeah and boxing fans won't resist. what stops PPVs from being $65 all the way around?

and since nobodys came out and said it .. what will the Cotto-Pacquiao fight cost on PPV?

I've heard anything from $49.99 all the way up to $65 (in HD)

don't get me wrong Cotto-Pacquiao is a hell of a match up and has potential to be one of the most exciting fight of the year

but comments like these "this fight is worth the 55$" are exactly why they can charge what they do for PPV.

again is one great fight really worth that high an asking price?

depends how you value your money

but I've only bought 1 boxing PPV being DLH-Mayweather ... and at $55 for 3 fights I felt it was a terrible waste of money

**and to make matters worse, HBO replayed the main event a week later. and the same most likely will be done for Cotto-Pacquiao

Yes way too much in Australia its 50 bucks.

3 Years ago they were $30 and that to me was spot on as a Price for PPV.

**can you really blame people for not wanting to pay the $50 and up price tag?
