I thought Ruiz’s style and hand speed was gonna give aj some serious problems, I didn’t know if he would win or beat him up the way he did but I thought the fight was actually gonna be competitive. As a fan of aj I was rooting for him in both fights but before their first bout I was thinking that if AJ underestimates this guy he’s gonna be overwhelmed. Anyone think Ruiz was gonna win the first fight?
Here's @lepinthehood @kirk and I's discussion from the day before the fight. I even picked the mother****ing KO round!!!!!
I had money on Ruiz to beat AJ in the first fight, I did say BEFORE the fight in the rbr. 16/1 to win by any method. My biggest priced "single bet" winner in a boxing match, previous best 9/1 Prescott to Beat Amir Khan.
Yeah you called it, nailed it to be fair, I probably owe you money, you were one of the reasons I had money on Ruiz LOL Errr not sure I said it before but.. thank you.
First time didnt think he is going to win but ridiculous odds in heavyweight title match made me put small bet on him. Second time I thought it was about 50/50 and was surprised how dominant Joshua was and lost small bet on Ruiz
Not really but when I saw that ring walk and saw that look of uneasiness in his eyes I knew that he was gonna loose. Did catch a interview earlier in the fight week about Wilder and he was asked if he would fight Wilder and his response was ‘Maybe’ his expression was way off so my thoughts went up after seeing him not be his usual self.
Didn't know that much about Ruiz before there first fight, so watched a few YouTube videos straight away said to my Mrs Joshua is going to have a hard time on the inside dealing with that hand speed. Didn't see him getting sparked like that tho
It couldn't imagine ruiz was going to beat aj in the first fight but in the second I thought ruiz was going beat aj on a dicison to bad ruiz got beaten by his fridge before the fight even started
