I have been watching Alvarez alot online latley and I like him alot..I believe he has what it takes to be at minimum, a title holder one day...But Jose Miguel Cotto seems to be confident...

Team Jose Miguel Cotto: "I hope Schaefer and Gomez don't get fired for making this mistake after Cotto wins"

I like Alvarez and I think he'll knock Jose Miguel Cotto..but the confidence going on in that camp still leaves a small doubt in my mind..thoughts????

I've been watching Alvarez online alot lately too. This girl from my work put me on to him recently. She is from the same state in Mexico as him. I really like how well he mixes it up to the body with digging shots. I think he got cotto. He has one helluva offensive arsenal.

Im going for 5th round TKO. I really like this kid. He already got a huge following. He also seems focused enough and has some power. I would put him in with a Berto and I think he could hang.

At this point I think Berto is a little too much...it would be too little reward n too much risk...I would like to see him fight 1 more easy fight after tomorrow night (should he win which i think he will) n than take on a top 10 ww...maybe a quintana or a collazo if he's that ready....Collazo is a top 10 probably around 7-9 in the ww division..he would make a good opponent as a measuring stick IF Saul gets by his next 2 easy fights:good

No. He's one of GBP's exciting prospects. They wouldn't put him in the ring in a fight he can't win; it's a bout that's meant to showcase him to the general American public.

    Cotto has a chance.

It isn't a chance you'd want to bet on (unless the odds are much longer than they ought to be), but a chance nonetheless.

Cotto doesn't have a prayer. If a small, light-hitting and straightforward pressure fighter like Juan Diaz can whoop Cotto, then Alvarez will wipe the floor with him. I'll be surprised if this goes past four rounds.

No he can not lose this fight.

This kid is a future superstar. Very well articulated and very confident.
