Another great post Boo....Many also feel McKart beat Winky in their first of three fights...I've also got Pavlik KO5, however maybe more exciting than the first:good
Thanks pal! I just don't see JT ever beating Pavlik at any weight. As I have stated so many times; I really like Taylor, and was very proud of the way he conducted himself in the first fight, and since then, but I do wish for his sake he would have chosen some other road into the future. Boo
I'm going for Taylor on points too!! Wasnt an awful lot in the last fight until the knockout. Taylor is a clever boxer, he will have learnt more from the last fight than Pavlik. Trilogoy to be completed by the end of the year...
It is one thing to call Taylor talented or fast...but clever?? In terms of ring intelligence, Pavlik is a genius and Taylor is George Bush. Pavlik can follow a gameplan to perfection, his fights against Miranda and Taylor went exactly the way he predicted it. Taylor is unable to continue something that is working for more than half a round. He is all over the place, fighting well one minute, then completely forgetting what his corner told him and doing something stupid. Being determined after a loss is one thing, being able to do something differently in the ring is something else entirely.
Didn't someone before say that pavlik never went more than 8 rounds? If thats the case then i think he willl struggle in the later rounds because of his punch output. Taylor by late K.O
Why is it that everyone keeps calling that Pavlik knockdown a behind the ear shot, hence, an off balance equilibrium knock down. Pavlik was legitimately hurt in round two and you could tell by the fact that he did not see the punches coming when Taylor was throwing them after he took many hard shots. He was literally blind and holding on for his life until towards the end of the round. Just because Pavlik says he was ok, doesn't mean it was true. The guy obviously has a lot of pride and that is what got him in trouble in the first place. He wanted to stick his chin out to say it didn't hurt me and he got nailed hard and got knocked down. Like Pavliks trainer said, shame on Taylor for not finishing him because Pavlik was a couple of good hard shots from being ko'd, despite what Pavlik will say. This will bring me up to my next point. I said it prior to coming up their first fight, Taylors chance of a ko is to knock out Pavlik early on, when he is still cold. He has shown to be vulnerable in the early rounds and get hit and stunned in like in the Zertuche fight, so just as everyone says Taylor will end up doing the same thing, I sense that because Pavlik is a young guy who has pride, he likes to let it go and engage in wars.... This can provide an opening in the early round and perhaps give JT the opportunity for an early k.o. However, if the fight goes to the late rounds, I don't see JT winning this fight. Pavlik has shown to be a slow starter but have great endurance and JT has shown otherwise.
