Anyone think this is all a ploy by the Mayweather camp?

You're only looking at one side of the story. Mayweather offered a 14 day cutoff during the first negotiations. That was turned down by Pacquiao. After that happened, Mayweather said there would be no more cutoff. It was only after he said that, that some members of Team Pacquiao started claiming a 7 day cutoff was fine. They were of course lying. I don't see anyone blaming Khan for no longer offering Bradley a 50/50 split.

  2. How do you know they didn't approach Top Rank before making this announcement to the press?

 Pac and Arum have been saying that for months, and he's only just heard it?

Whatever. It's good news, at least. If the drug testing thing is no longer an issue, there should be nothing - absolutely nothing - to stop this fight from happening. Arum's irritated reaction to Floyd supposedly booking a date and venue without his consultation, is minor.

I still won't get my hopes up, but it'll be interesting to see what unravels in the weeks/months after Pac-JMM III.

Some team members said they agreed to it while others said he didn't. Honestly, you know there hasn't been a firm position on this issue until the last few days (thanks JMM).

Yup, no excuse now. 50/50, random blood and urine testing, all other details work out previously.

Ball is in Pac's court 110%

They agree and announce a fight?

Is that difficult to understand? Or do u want me to draw u a diagram?

Before, Pac said he agreed. Then Floyd said, he didn't agree and just repeated his mantra, take the test. lol. Then it was there were no negotiations... I'm on vacation. Suddenly now its we want Manny, but we haven't contacted them. Let's do this **** in the press again, just for kicks.

    Spin, repeat.

Since Conte outed Marquez' conditioning coach, it's put pressure on Pac to clarify his position on drug testing and he and his team have responded the right way in saying that they will take the tests to make the fight.

Don't forget that in July, Koncz said that Pacquiao was unwilling to take the tests unless there was a 14 day cutoff. This week, they clearly said they would agree to the unlimited, random tests.

    So, thanks JMM

I think Mayweather wants to fight on May 5, with whomever that may be.

Pac's always said he'd take the tests though. Unless you want to take Koncz' word? Ok...
