I'm not saying he isn't talented or skilled. The man is definitely gifted. I'm jsut saying he's not THAT GREAT. He's not unbeatable, as most people think. Everyone thought Leonard, Tyson, Jones, Robinson, Ali were all unbeatable too. Styles make fights, that's all I'm saying. Floyd has one style. This isn't kung fu, this is boxing.

And belive me, Floyd has always been flawed, but he was too damn quick and athletic for anybody to **** with . These days, he isn't the same guy. He's way more beatable. He's doing what Roy Jones did later in his career. Throw less punches, and rely purely on potshotting. He'll get exposed for that but only if he takes the chance of losing.

Your right about that one. he is flawed but everyone is. Your right he isnt Superman. And there are a lot of people who do overrate him and build him up to be unbeatable!

But for proper boxing fans they dont think floyd is amazing coz of his '0'. Its coz of his performances.

Having said that i dont think anyone at 147 can beat him ATM. I think in the past, a lot of people would have given him trouble. And its annoying that those fights never materialised (partly floyds fault himself). Guys like cotto or margarito back in 08.

I wouldn't say he has one style. he can become redundant when he's boxing, but he doens't have 1 style.

A game plan isn't **** without execution. But if they fight and Pac wins, to you, he didn't win. Roach won? :huh

You should all discuss Floyd in the Classic forum.

So? That makes it official? Every heard of hyperbole? Common to use such in sports. Do you have any stats? It's not that I don't think he's one of the best, but to repeat something that isn't backed by stats, well, just means **** to me.

C'mon man. How does he not have one style, explain this? Just because your versatile, doesn't mean you have more than one style.

Just because Floyd can go from using a shoulder roll to putting both his hands up doesn't mean he fights multiple styles. Leonard could do that too, and he wasn't particularly recognized for his defense.

As I explained in my first post, Hopkins and Toney are much more versatile defensively. Toney rolls off shots from any angle and any position. Floyd doesn't do that. Pernell did it too. I wouldn't say they don't have one style. Some styles are just more versatile than others. Or we'll have to define what a style actually is.

Well, I can see this from both sides. I hate his recent pot shotting style. BUT he has shown some offensive versatility as recently as his fight with Zab. In that, he changed his attack slightly, using one glove to blind Zab where he would be throwing the other hand a second later. The slow motion replays of his landing attacks in that fight are pretty sick.

no because he is rediculously gifted, no matter what else you say about him.

I wouldn't mind hearing about his skills IF he actually fought more than once a year, AND he fought somebody who had a real chance , other than guys too small or too old.

Last time I checked, having no losses is extremely relevant. It would be different if he was fighting schmucks, but Floyd's been in the top 10 P4P and for a large time #1 or #2 since 1998. That fact, plus the 0 makes Mayweather incredible.

All true man, credit to him, buts hes not even the best defensive fighter of the past few eras!.

pacs combinations vs floyd pot shots, pacs movement and footwork vs floyd movement and footwork.Pac wins for me.He outlands and confuses floyd with speed power ,footwork and control of being in and out of range.then he makes floyd come forward, and pac counters and pots shots floyd!.

his record is good and opposition good before welterweight.

but hes fought no one decent and prime at welterweight.

fought and beat smaller men, bloated best light welter, then bloated best lightweight at the time.

an old mosley got through that defense and had him all shook up!.

older less prime oscar jabbed him and had it equal all the way,if he could have kept to the game plan and have stamina he would have won.

i imagine khan using oscars gameplan would beat floyd, and people think thats a stupid thing to say,but style do make fights, and khan has it all to beat floyd,in 2 fights time he could beat floyd.

khan already beat up the tricky paulie who uses all the things floyd does to win fights, but without power.

    khan has speed,upper body movement,tight guard,long reach,great jab,good footwork,strong stamina,keeps stricly to a game plan.

add to all that a floyd who is older, slower, quite inactive.
if floyd dont fight pac but will fight khan at wembley, khan will win!
