Floyd is the most accurate boxer (landing percentage) among all fighters ever tracked by CompuBox. They state it during HBO broadcasts not for hyperbole, but strictly by the numbers.

In my opinion, prime Roy Jones was a superior fighter to Floyd as well. Clearly. Roy Jones in his prime was having easy nights with James Toney and Bernard Hopkins, while Floyd Mayweather was struggling with Jose Luis Castillo and a past-prime Oscar De La Hoya. Floyd had better defensive skills than Roy, but Roy was more effective overall.

if shane was as redundant as you say, and taking circumstances under account, corrales and castillo were better wins.

It bumps your numbers up significantly when you fight guys with no defence (Gatti, Corrales, Hatton), much smaller guys (Marquez), guys years and years past their best (Mosley), and just plain old shite guys (Baldomir, N'Dou, Bruseles, etc etc etc).

Compare Floyd's fight-by-fight opposition with someone like Carl Froch, since Froch has come to prominence. Of course it's going to be easier landing on overmatched opponents than it is to land on prime, hungry, top-quality opponents the same size as you.

doesn't matter how he fought, floyd was the underdog and he dominated him.

yes, theyr first fight, and its disputed, and he won the second one, and you thought i was gonna say JMM didnt ya?

Why do I bother. Pacquiao's mental game comes from what Roach puts in front of him. Manny can't think for himself

Floyd didn't fight Mosley, Oscar and Phillip N'Dou all in the same style. Or am I wrong

all you'll get is "n'dou was a bum anyone can change their tactics against bums!!"

watching him now and watching him in his early career is like watching two different fighters.

Watching Roy Jones now, and watching him early in his career is like watching two different fighters. Does that really mean he has more than one style? If that's the case, then a lot of fighters have fought more than one style.

Personally, I don't get tired of hearing about Floyd's skills. It's just the timing of it that bothers me. Don't keep reminding everyone of his skills when he continues to duck fights.

This is the second reason I get annoyed . People underrate Manny's boxing skills. If he can't think for himself, there's no way he could be fighting at this level this successfully. Yes, Roach is the brains behind Pacquiao's success but that doesn't mean Manny can't think in the ring. It just means that Roach is the guy who instilled the knowledge. And coming up with a gameplan is only half the battle. You have to be able to execute it and change things up when you need to. Manny can think in the ring. Watch the Cotto fight for a good example, or even the Marg fight.

You are seriously calling floyd one dimensional? I wouldn't call his combo punching in his early-mid career to be non-existent, more like amazing.

and no, floyd is not an unbeatable superman, but he is insanely skilled, you dont even need to pick apart his resume, just watch him perform.

I don't under-rate mannys chances to win either, but I favour floyd.
