Its amazing how much people don't know **** about boxing. Floyd fights one way my ass. If you mean Floyd isn't that good by saying he is the greatest boxer of all time then I agree. But if your trying to say he isn't that skilled, then you are out of your mind.

No idea why that fight never took place. I was just knocking Rico...had to since the opportunity was there.

Did I say he "fights one way"? I said he has one style, like any other boxer who's ever lived. But if you want to argue he has more then one style, then we could say the same thing for a lot of other fighters. Yes, Floyd is versatile.

He's not unbeatable. Who is? But, he is a very special fighter. Anyone being honest with themselves, and who understands what they are looking at, knows this. It's obvious the TS has analyzed his style and does not favor all aspects of Floyd's game. But, in terms of an all around combination of talents, skills, athleticism, IQ, and fundamentals, etc--when compared to his contemporaries--there is no denying...Floyd IS that good.

Yes, he is the smarted, most skilled fighter of his era. Most talented? Debatable. Is he the best? That's also debatable. He won't fight Pacquiao so we might not ever know.

Is he that good? If you mean he's damn near unbeatable / best/most skilled/smartest fighter to ever walk the earth, the answer is no.

Never said he was unbeateable....should be clear from the first sentence of my last post. I think Pac is the only other fighter right around his current fighting weight, at the moment, who can compete with him. But, I don't favor anyone to beat him, at WW, right now. His physical gifts and complete grasp on the fundamentals are second to his ability to change what is not working during the fight. He has no equal, in that area, currently, IMO. That is the biggest edge he holds against his contemporaries...he is both the player and the coach, so to speak.

that was the point I was making earlier. Floyd is the mastermind of his team. Roach is the mastermind for Manny's fights and Arum is the mastermind of everything. Manny doesn't come up with any gameplan, Roach does and with Floyd he goes out and figures out his opponents.
    Here them in the corners.

Roger will tell him: Box the ma****er, that's what we do box or every now and then Floyd Sr. may yell instruction from the crowd

Freddie will say: Manny come with a double jab and then feint the left and throw a right hook and roll under and **** like that.

I know you could say Roach is just being the better coach, but it also helps prove my point

i was just referring to the large group of ppl who make those claims. I believe a lot of casual fans think this way. Your right , Floyd is the most versatile fighter in the sport right now. No argument here. With that said, he still does the same stuff almost all the time. Maybe he's coming forward one moment or going back, but he's still throwing the same shots and looking for the same counters. It doesn't impress me as much as it does you.

and btw to press the point further... what did he change up mid-fight against Hoya? To me he did the same thing from the opening bell to the end. And had Hoya not gassed out and kept pressing the attack, he would have lost!

your wrong bballchump. Floyd's team does come up with gameplans. They came up with the gameplan against Mosley to fight an aggressive fight. Floyd said himself they come up with gameplans.

If your saying Pacquiao cant think in the ring your wrong bro. Half the time he's not doing what Freddy tells him to anyway. Floyd definitely has a higher boxing IQ then Pac, but Pac isn't some brainless robot. He knows the game, if he didn't he wouldn't be at this level and achieved what he has.
