Looks like a made a good call choosing JMM-Diaz I over the Zbik fight :yep This Argie looks useless

 

Brave, but useless. I hope he somehow knocks out Zbik in the last round. It's as likely as me winning the lottery, though.

I haven't even bought a ticket.

 

Last round: Heiland tried to pressure Zbik, Zbik spent the entire round tying the Argentinian up. Zbik wins the fight easily, 9 rounds to 3 or 10-2, something like that.

Zbik saying something about going to fight Martinez in America. I really hope that doesn't happen, it's a waste of time for Martinez. The guy deserves better.

 

Havik, how would Zbik's level of performance as it looked tonight (taking into account that he had Heiland outmatched) serve him against the likes of Sylvester, Sturm, Martinez, Williams or Pavlik?

 

Zbik looked fairly decent, has a very amatuer style though looking to keep things in centre ring and land long counters then move off. Good at doing it though, Martinez could be hell for a style like that though.

Can you guys tell me when the next fighters are going in the ring.

 

They're in right now, although its Dimitrenko....so you might as well not bother.

Its no on just noo on German telly, its about some reasonably fit German female weight lifter.

 

It's hard to say for two reasons: 1) Heiland is too far off world level to make a judgement and,
2) I know **** all about boxing.

Bearing that in mind: Zbik doesn't like pressure at all, has no power (he caught Heiland several times coming in and the Argentinian just smiled), and does very little in the ring. I think Pavlik destroys him pretty easily, Williams outworks him with ease. Martinez? He's a few levels above Zbik, though I can't mentally picture that fight.

Sturm should be able to jab him to death, Zbik likes to have time to think before throwing something. A well timed jab would probably upset his rhytm enough to make it a fairly easy win for Sturm, though Sturm seems to be slipping.

I don't know about Sylvester, only seen him twice (against Sturm and Karmazin). I would rate Sylvester ahead of Zbik, but I don't know how the fight would go.

Zbik isn't world class by a long shot, he looks tidy when you give him a lot of time to pick his shots, that's it.

 

Ouch.

Had it still been Bakhtov there would be some potential drama, enough to get me to put in a more serious effort to find a way to watch.
