We didn't get the HBO team we had those rednecks who sound like they should be on WWE. What was Lederman's overall score?

I can see why pac got the win, jmm did outbox him in spells but pac was overpowering him for most of the rounds. Cant say I disagree with the decision.
In the general forum they have this down as a 'robbery' which I dont see myself, close fight.

I dont think ricky will get the chance to face him, Amir will knock him out first :rofl

The result left a bit of a bad taste imo. Pac won 3 rounds imo including the knockdown round and JMM had all the rest. I never actually thought there was any grounds to call it a split decision and was surprised when they called it but Pacman is the marketable fighter and it seems money talks.

Can you break down exactly why you think he won? I don't really see how he was "overpowering" Marquez. Pac got his head boxed off for the large part. Marquez' distancing was great, Pacman was totally one dimensional I dont think he threw a single uppercut.

Yes, I think the hbo team were suprised to see lederman give the 12th to pac. I personally find his scoring to be awful and his loud mouth comments throughout the fight pretty dumb. His daughter is a judge as well. I am sure she is equally awful if i remember correctly.
Larry Merchant didnt hold back telling jmm he always falls short on the very biggest of occassions.

JMM also out powered Pac tonight and there was more than one occasion throughout the fight when I though Pac was about to be KO'd

Yes overpowering is wrong (4.47am here tiredness kicking in),
I felt pac was much stronger going forward (not quite bullying) and when he did pressure he scored more clearly for me. I thought pac was busier and more effective in the close rounds.
Jmm was slicker countering but for me did not do enough work to win the fight and I never felt he hurt pac to any extent.

Let me ask you about pac's cut in the fight, if the cuts are reversed who wins the fight?

Really? I must watch this again, I was not seeing this.
Pac looked more unbalanced from trying to land shots than by the ones he was getting hit by.

Absolutely, Pac was definitely hurt on more than one occasion, even one of the commentaters (setanta) mentioned that he thought Pac looked like being KO'd at one stage.

Marquez fought an almost perfect fight (KD aside) considering he is geting on a bit and was up against Pac who is considered in the middle of his prime at the mo.

Can we have HBO team next time, the commentators we got were shite! Disappointed, Pac man on the way down through excessive partying and **** ups / Hatton lifestyle or changed too much by Roach to try be a boxer which is not what he really is.

Pac was definitely hurt on more than one occasion particularly at the end of one of the rounds, I cant remember which one I'll have to watch it again. Pac was busier in the closer rounds but not more effective. He was doing a lot of lunging & missing & looking pretty untidy.

Marquez kept his composure pretty much throughout despite bein down & cut. The cuts were incidental in the end so wouldn't have changed the outcome either way so I'm not really sure I understand your question. Surely Marquez' cut was worse.

Marquez was more than busy enough to win this fight. It's a sad indictment of boxing fans if the work of the likes of Marquez cannot be appreciated. Those redneck commentators were an example of this. Pacman is a crude slugger with a jab & is a blown up flyweight to boot.

Watching this now and after round 9 I got Marquez winning 87-83, his punches are much cleaner.
