This is a request for anybody out there...Is there any Kevin Finnegan footage to put up from his fights with Minter, Tonna, or Sibson? I've never seen him in action...very curious. Finnegan sounds like a very hard fighter from descriptions.

Second Minter fight is the easiest good footage of Finnegan to get a hold of.

Some rare footage of him there in a tune-up, though he doesn't look too sharp in it.Probably not in the best shape.the first 40 odd seconds give a good indication of what he was like though. Not a flashy or physically gifted fighter, but very good and cute technically.Great sneaky right hand.

Could you put Mike Spinks KO1 Ray Elson (1977) up? That's one of Spinks's first fights, and it's very interesting.

Another one to put up would be Mike Spinks KO4 Marvin Johnson (1981). I also like the idea of seeing Mike Spinks KO6 Yaqui Lopez (1980), which someone else already mentioned.

Incidentally, I thought Yaqui and Johnson were beating Spinks handily until he took charge near the end with his power punches.

Interestingly, www.boxrec.com reports that Spinks was beating Lopez until the stoppage:

    ~ time: 0:46 | referee: Vincent Rainone 4-2 | judge: Richard F. Murry 4-2 | judge: Eva Shain 3-3 ~
Lopez was knocked down once in the 7th round

I seem to remember Lopez pressing the action and winning the fight through the first four rounds. Does anyone recall the fight?

I had Lopez up too but it didn't mean anything. Spinks was accustomed to losing the early rounds in fights, and then he'd turn it on, upping his work rate and landing hard punches. Just as Joe Frazier and Alexis Arguello were slow starters, so was Michael. Lopez put up a great fight, but he would fall.

Lopez was done by that fight, though i wouldn't criticise spinks as it was a good learning fight for him.
