I didn't say I support ALL British fighters without question, just that I have to have a VERY good reason not to.

    Everyone loved Bruno

and he was a scumbag wife beater

so it just shows immoral people are quite often popular

I am not saying David Haye's a bad person..

And i would support him in the future if he wins this fight..

But as it stands right now, press conferences are there for fighters to convince the public.

    1. That they are gonna win..
    2. That they are the fighter you should support
Monte "Two Guns" Barrett has convinced me on number 2, by expressing his principles with a hint of his personality. And Number 2 is a powerful..powerful principle in life.

That didn't come to light until way after Brunos retirement.

Mr Kool, if you like Barrett because of his personality or the way he comes across then thats fair enough but I just think the whole "principles and morals" line was OTT.

I support the British fighter, it's the way I was raised

Inevitably some people will start hating on Haye now though and the numbers will rise the more success he has. Going against the grain makes some people feel intellectually superior, never understood it myself.

Who is anyone here to "judge" a person in the public eye, who they do not personally as an undesirable person?

As someone mentioned about Bruno, dont judge a book by its cover, and dont pretend you know someone just because you have heard some rumours and have seen them on TV.

I think it is fair to judge a person up to a certain point on seeing them on TV

    why not?

that is them on TV a real human being - and you get a real impression on what they are like and the type of energy surrounding them

just because they are not in the flesh

you are not looking at a cardboard cut out - that is a real human being

I fully expect Haye to spark this kid inside 3 rounds.

I think the last post sums it up. I can't believe people can't see that Haye is just playing the media game to hype things up, raise his profile and earn more money. It's textbook American behaviour. We shouldn't blame him for it, just go along for the ride. He's probably the UK's best chance for worldwide success in boxing so we should all support him imo.

There seem to be far more knockers then supports at the moment so I'm behind Haye on this one, and I'd like to see him face Wlad.
