Yes, he was a great fighter at 130, an excellent fighter at 135 and 140 and totally overrated above 140. I get tired of him being overrated in general, he doesn't have a top 50 resume, he never even faced any REAL elite fighters, the saving point is that he did dominate most of his opponents and fought a lot of GOOD fighters through multi-weight classes.

But Cotto was the one elite fighter around and that fight needed to be made.

Mayweather is top 75 at BEST. And everyone, stop with this ridiculous ****ing comparison to Jones, Jones is WAY ahead of Floyd in every department prime for prime.

Only problem is he's not being appreciated, just like Jones wasn't in his prime.

The fight wasn't all that close.

And Pac/Barrera II was a rip off.

    See? I'm fair.

I'm not a floyd fan but I don't see how it close. Maybe not a complete blow out or anything but in a 8-4/ARGUABLE 9-3 sense.

I don't see how DLH did anything to take away those close rounds..and well as his epic fade at the end of the fight.

his ducking and machinations took its toll on this fan. I moved on a while back really who cares lets support the guys out there still making boxing exciting.
Mayweathers gone and I dont care I stopped long after he stopped fighting quality opposition.

He is crazy appreciated, most rank him as a top 30-40 ATG, that's absurd mate, he just doesn't have the resume.

I'll tell you what, had he dominated every opponent, including Castillo and DLH, I mean dropping 3 rounds at best, it would do him more justice to rank him as such, but Castillo and Hoya just showed more liabilities.

Roy was much more dominant, against superior comp at that, Floyd should be ranked clearly under him. Roy barely dropped rounds against elite level fighters....

Then people say 'he fought who he could at the lower weights', sure, he did, but he didn't fight strong comp like Roy or Pernell, and if the fights weren't available against stronger comp, that isn't his fault, but he still shouldn't be jumped up because of that, it's unfair to the guys who did defeat much better comp. Not all era's are equal.

I've heard some say things about Qawi, saying 'had he been in a weaker era, he'd be an ATG'..... why? If he's of ATG ability and performed well against elite competition, he should be ranked as such, a weaker set of comp doesn't make it any better.

Exactly, enough of him holding his P4P position hostage. We have a bunch of phenomenal talent coming up and most are willing to make the best fights happen, let him go and let's rank him accordinly and leave it at that.

I'm not pissed he's gone, I'm relieved, he had no intention of fighting any real risks at this point and it free's up some exposure for other talent.
