anyone want to talk about how Canelo was losing to Alfonso Gomez and then got a bs...

Like someone else said I think he had his foot off the pedal and was experimenting and failing to look good defensively, so much so that he was throwing rounds away against inferior opposition.

Time to iron those things out in preparation for fights rather than in them.

Its funny with people he is suppose to look good Hatton and Gomez... he looks uninspired... when people say its gonna be a tough fight... Rhodes he makes it look easy and looks awesome!

Leads me to believe that he has no respect for the **** fighters... and will look better when his competition is upped.

He was just toying with Gomez.

 

Many fighters do that...True boxing fans would know so...Fighting to the level of your comp....Winkym Castillo, hell, even pac do it.

 

Gomez did much better than I expected.

Canelo throws sharp combos, but not enough jabs.

I thought the stoppage was premature, but Gomez would not have survived the remainder of the round.

 

I thought he owuld have won regardless but he is far from ready for the big time. I think even now Lara could beat him.

 

I had Gomez winning but barely, its not like he was way ahead and got robbed

He was hurt he did shell but Canelos last 3 or 4 shots hit gloves elbows or air it was a shitty stoppage but Gomez really shoulda took the knee

He made Alvarez look very passive and measured something he really wasnt

Alvarez is a sucker for a right hand over the top

 

Completely agree with this. I like Alvarez but some guys are buying into the hype far too much.

IMO Canelo seemed to be playing with Gomez. He did look as if he was trying out different things, almost looked like a sparring session at times.

As far as the KO, slightly premature but moot, Gomez was going to be KO'd anyway.
