Anyone watch Alex Reid's cage fight on Bravo last night?

I Sky+'d it out of curiosity. The NIA Birmingham looked packed and appeared buzzing. It was an hour show which the first 1/2 hour was build up and padding. It was a bit tabloidish, but you would expect that especially as Jordan was there. Bunce was there as an expert and predicted a Reid defeat. The MC was was pretty good.

I watched the first round before going out and it was pretty entertaining and will watch the rest later.

I would not say I am a convert to MMA on the basis of this hype up media event, but I will look at for the next couple of shows.

It is shame Bravo don't tip there toes into boxing again. They did a Colin Lynes IBO fight, but the production then was shocking. This production was far better.

I thought Bunce was meant to be doing commentary for Hatton last night?

i ended up watching it on +1 because others said it was a decent scrap and it was pretty good actually. "reidinator" can take a kicking if nothing else..

just goes to show though, if you take the ground work out of mma/ufc and actually have them go toe to toe it would be a better format.. it even wet my appetite for Mir vs Cro Cop which was absolutely shite!!

i dont think i'll ever convert fully.. all these fights that get the big build up and hype turn out to be shocking, then the ufc enthusiasts start with the excuses. at least if a boxing match gets lots of hype its usually justified and a decent scrap follows.

I'm not the worlds biggest MMA fan but I watched it in the hope of watching Alex Reid get the snot kicked out of him.

However Reid had a few moments where I thought "this is it, he's had it" but he fought back well.

Not the best standard by any stretch of the imagination but the bottle he showed with the injuries he was suffering - swollen shut left eye - led me to respect him just a little bit.

In my limited experience with trannies, one of the toughest I've seen. ;)

I enjoyed it. Good scrap. Reid is a tough old ******* in fairness to him.

Watson holds a very good win over UFC veteran Matt Horwich, I expected him to crush Reid in a round, like Jorge Rivera did in about 40 seconds..

Reid is tough but he any decent opponent he's had has crushed him. look at his face for evidence of that.

I remember seeing alex reid vs lee murray years ago. ~He's better than most people think but not fit enough. Any Elite fighter would beat him IMO!!!
