If Khan fights the way he was in that sparring footage, he gets knocked out. He needs to follow the Kotelnik plan and stop covering up passively each time his opponent takes a steps towards him.

The default answer to any thread like this is "...that Khan is a ****".

    What happened?

He didn't do as well with Peterson due to lack of power and inside game

Started training for Peterson rematch focusing more on power resultant loss of speed

Now has new cond coach which again has methods which will slow him

He has slowed... but not by much... he is 10percent slower max than he was in the first Peterson fight maybe... But should have gained slight power.

Against Garcia the small loss in speed isn't that detramental.

I'd rather see him hurt Garcia and stop him than see him damage and beat him up for 12 rounds...

**** me, just watched it now. Amir's too ballsy. Either he had something against that sparring partner or he was just pissed off that day. Never seen him spar like that.

    Not to worry, though.

We all know Khan fades after 5 rounds with his style - why hasn't anyone in his team looked in to getting an oxygen chamber for him to sleep in during camps - olympians and other athletes use this to improve recovery from injury, training etc as it simulates high altitude oxygen levels in a confined space.

Man Khan was really getting tagged in that sparring. If he fights like that against Garcia he will get knocked out. I dont rate Garcia very highly btw.

Come on Khan. Knock that mofo out

You guys need to take into consideration that this sparring footage was taken early on in his camp. His head coach Freddie wasn't even there. That said, you can see what Ruben said 'don't get wild'. Then Khan say's it looks boring (the new 'style'). Ruben say's it doesn't matter as long as it get's the job done.

I think Khan will box his ass off and look decent. Here the winner get's the ring belt as well.
