And what about the guys not wanting to fight Danzig....alot of excuses....John was the only guy who wanted that fight.....kind of surprising considering if you win that fight you get a shot at the 6 figure contract.
Seeds out people's intention doesn't it? I kinda disagree with Dana about Arroyo tho. I thought he was geniune just didn't sound that way.
I agree with you about Arroyo. I mean, c'mon, dude's got a broken rib. A broken rib is one of the most debilitating injuries you can have. I was equally surprised about people being hesitant about taking the Danzig fight, especially Hightower, after the way that he fought George I thought for sure he'd jump all over a second chance.
yeah, what are peoples intentions....if you are a afraid to fight a guy who hasn't even won the TUF series yet how the hell are they going to do against top contenders in the division? And why would Dana think the guy is faking an injury....if the rib is cracked it makes any type of ground fighting almost impossible.
It's called second chance. atsch Look at Speer vs George. Did you see the way he was talking about him? "Never seen anyone give up such an apportunity that fast, he doesn't know what he's losing." WTF? How the hell is he gona fight with a broken rib.
Some of the other fighter's blogs say that the Dr didn't find anything wrong with his rib, which is why they didnt have the usual dr footage when somebody is hurt. Not to say his ribs weren't sore to the point of being unable to fight, but they were not broken or cracked according to medical examination.
Yeah, Dana's a big fat douchebag. End of story. For a guy who was never a pro fighter himself, he seems to think he knows a lot about what makes them tick... Even the way he talked about Hightower. As soon as Richie left the room Dana said, "that guy doesn't want the fight." But all that Richie said was that he was worried about making weight, which is understandable given that he would have had to drop 20 pounds in about 3 days.
Woah, I wonder what fighters said that? Cause I was actually rooting for Arroyo and if what you said is true that changes my perspective a lot. filmnpuck, you gotta understand it from Dana's perspective. This is how it works in the business world. If they're not enthusiastic about what they do they won't get the opportunity. In Dana's mind he is the boss(and he is). He's giving a huge apportunity to one fighter, but he has to want it. Out of all people only the last guy(forgot his name) came in with a smile and went "**** yes i wanna fight him." He didn't say something like "well, you know, im worried that i won't make weight blah blah blah." Dana doesn't wanna hear that crap, he doesn't care. It's just the way it works, even if you don't care about some job and think its miserable but you wanna get it because of money you gota be like "Hell YES i wanna be cat clothing designer, I absolutely LOVE cats blahblah."
Hightower didn't want the fight....it was quite obvious...he tried to use the weight excuse....but he really didn't want the fight. What the hell did John weight? that guy looks big I'll bet he had to cut as much weight as anybody else would have had to. At least he had the balls to fight Danzig....even though the guy has very little ability...it's safe to say that guy has no future in the sport.
Wow, entertaining fight that was, Warmachine vs Rollins. Nice to see when those guys give it their all and its just all heart out there. Out of all things i didn't expect Warmachine to do that simplest sweep(first one I've ever learned)... and win cause of it. Makes you think about those simplest techniques 0.0
Very good win from Warmachine...got to see this fight, but a friend of mine has said the other where clunkers. Is it worth it to watch the other fight on replay?......
HAHA! Just seen Bob Sapp is on Pros vs Joes. Went from a MMA Star in the far east..to Pros vs Joe's WOW..how the might has fallen.
