Yep, I don't know what people are yappin about. Adamek took 9 rounds and tagged Estrada with some nice shots. Estrada's sturdy chin made it possible for him to finish the fight. Arreola wont be so fortunate.

Nah, Lennox wasnt as disliked as the Klits, I should say Wlad. Wlad fights like a *****, he thows what Holyfield use to call "get away from me" punches.

I am starting to be very interested in a fight between Wlad and either Adamek or Haye for the simple fact that he would have to be in there with more skilled fighters that would force him to be the kind of fighter that he should be. Im not saying that he should be a slugger but he should be a boxer puncher and not a boxer runner. Wlad is scared to engage fighters, and that is whats keeping him from having a more higher proflie career and a larger fan base. Wlad should have fought about a third of the rounds that he has over the past 6 or 7 years.

Adamek is naturally a smaller man. He doesn't have the right bone structure for a heavyweight, the extra pounds just slow him down. His excellent skills enabled him to clearly defeat Estrada - but Arreola is taller and thicker, just as durable, and hits much harder than Estrada.

Adamek should go back to his natural division cruiserweight where he was the champion.

Great post, this is exactly what I wanted to say :deal

There werent fireworks as some ppl expected, but Adamek boxed smart and what is the most important he boxed his fight, which he was controlling since beginning to the end. Now as you say he have to accustom to the new weight. In every fight he will look more natural, just like it was at CW.

    I saw it this way:

    1rd: 10-9 A (?)
    2rd: 10-9 A
    3rd: 10-9 A
    4rd: 10-9 A
    5rd: 10-9 A
    6rd: 10-9 A (?)
    7rd: 10-9 A
    8rd: 10-9 A
    9rd: 10-9 A
    10rd: 9-10 E (?)
    11rd: 10-9 A
    12rd: 9-10 E (?)

Estrada coming forward, pressing but Adamek won every exchange, putting more punches
none fighter was dominating the fight almost every round was close but for me Adamek clearly won most of those rounds

I put (?) when I wasnt sure how to judge but even if you judge every close round for Estrada he still lost 4-8

for me it was 9-3 for Adamek 117-111 thats how I saw it

Not 117-113 but 117-111. I thinks its fair. 116-112 is good too. Anything else is in favor to one of fighters

Adamek has thrown 563 punches in the whole fight ,that gives 47 per round , not too much, he needs atleast to throw 60 per round , if he wants to beat any top contender cuz high workrate should be one of his main advantages.

Dont know i counted these shots myself , its hard to count a total number of thrown and landed shots at the same time , and im 2 lazy to watch it for the third time, but he wasnt very effective i think 10-15% of these shots really landed on estrada's chin. (plus like 20-30% of total to the body)

This is something on what Gmitruk and Adamek have to work. It was enough to win over Estrada. The fight with Arreola will be strictly different.

Outboxing Estrada was the exact thing that Gmitruk demanded from Adamek after every round. I have a feeling he could have gone for the KO but he was obeying his trainer and it was the smart thing to do. He has to save his energy for Arreola.

That said... Extra bulk did slow him down. His power didn't increase that much as he's speed and workrate decreased. He doesn't look comfortable at HW. Apart from that he may not have the right frame, it may be too difficult for him to adjust to new weight in this age. He's 34...

I don't see him going to war and knocking out Arreola, Haye, Chambers etc. It seems that he can't bring that excitement to HW. He's Probably able to outbox most of top tiers though.

Possibly, but it was all Estrada wanted Adamek to do. It would be stupid by Adamek to take such a risk just to make the better show. Its not the way, because he was ahead on scorecards.

And as you say, he fights in April vs Arreola, so if the Estrada fight would be a war, then it might be some injury and no-Arreola fight :-(
