I really could not give a toss about this fight. How much longer can Arum make money off this kid. I don't care if he's getting trained by Roach he is tosh. And as for Duddy it seems like people in America lala land are crying out for a great Irish/Yank hope the same way they did for the Great White Heavyweight Hope in the 80s and 90s. See Cooney and Morrison. Chavez Jnr and Duddy are a car crash waiting to happen. It don't matter who wins the name will dim in the lights within a year.
neither are as bad as you are making out to be honest. Neither are ever going to be a P4P great but they are evenly matched and both pretty much have their careers on the line - isnt that what makes good fights?
I s'pose but I really, really don't rate either of them. Never have I watched any of their fights and been taken with the way either man fights. Nothing that they do impresses me. But that's just my opinion. What I would like to see is the winner fight a meaningful opponent in their next fight. But I could say that about a lot of other fighters too.
To be honest i'm really looking forward to it . I dont rate either of them highly but its a real 50/50 fight between two guys who have to win which is something you dont see that often . Duddy needs to forget about tactics or trying to box because i dont think he's capable of it and just get in jrs face right from the first bell and go for it . Every time i've seen jnr he's dpne well in the early rounds against journeyman but as the rounds progress these journeymen realise he's nothing special and start to come back into it . I'm also really looking forward to Fury vs McDermott which should be a good fight for similar reasons .
Chavez looks in great shape...and is with a great Coach...but he could unravel if Duddy gets to him. Chavez is favorite...Duddy's really slided down in my estimations a long time ago. Chavez may win this fight off the back of a great camp. It's gonna be a good fight...not one for the purist though.
I hope Duddy gets a nice payday for this one, just incase things dont go to plan... I think chavez has the power to hurt john just like medina did. Its just about whether or not john survives the early onslaught from young chavez and get him into the championship rounds (somewhere hes never been) and apply true 160lbs of pressure (something chavez has never felt) then john might get to him...
This fight won't last the distance, ive never seen Duddy fight before. But i rekon he will win by TKO.
