Dunno what's the point of feeding Lara with bums, he stopped Grady Brewer who holds a win over a current world champion, match Erislandy with K9 already!

Gomez is a don't miss even if he'll blow out this dude in a few minutes.

Even better! Too much Christmas cookie? Golden Boy should stop foolin' around and throw Lara into the deeps.

Yea whats up with Lara fighting bums? He's like 26 already with great amature experience, fighting guys he KO's in 1 round. He should fight the guys Canelo fights. Baldomir, that tough African-fighter he just fought (forgot his name) Maybe that is why he has not fought on HBO or Showtime because he is fighting weak opposition

Any word if Lara is fighting a sub for Raines? Or is that fight just getting scraped?

Frankie Gomez is yet to impress me to be honest. Gomez seems to be held in high regard due to his amateur background, but im yet to be wowed by a performance of his.

I think Gomez fights too square, has a tendency to get wide with his punches, doesn't seem to use the jab that much, looks for big singles (counters), beit on the backfoot or front foot.

It could be that he's looking to make a statement against these lower echlon fighters, and might be being a bit too overly aggressive, but with a name like "Pitbull", it makes me think if that's not the way he always fights.

Hard to judge Lara based on 1 round, but he seemed not be fighting with his hands glued to the side of his head the way he normally does, which will help him imo, he also utilized the right hook a little, which I've felt he's neglected in the past.

Gomez is a fighter with great potential. He has the power and aggression, a decent fundamental base; a bit undeveloped but you can tell he can learn and improve his style. Lara, like many fighters, should be stepping up. I heard he's fighting Canelo's brother next. I suppose its a start due to the relation. This Caballero impressed me, fast hands, good movement, good counter-punches and combinations, doesn't get hit too often.

do you really think Canelo, K9 and the others prospects want to fight Lara? Actually after this fight he will go for the WBA belt, and Baldomir was a one fight wonder he won the lttery that day, he is old and has never been much of a boxer with not much pop either.

    Gomez looked really pedestrian.

His "don't miss" cred is gone; he'll have to work hard to earn it back.
