Ok firstly fighters who actually run - the Dirrell brothers. Turning their backs and getting out of danger.

Lara , all he did was show superior foot speed and move to look for different angles.

I thought Lara won the fight just a clear as Floyd did. I thought Canelo performed well , but for all his come forward fighting landed less.

Not every fight will be Gatti vs Ward.

The Cuban fighters are built to hit and not get hit and its a thing of beauty that just doesnt get recognized enough in the pro's.

    Peace.

One thing is to be defensive minded, stay in pocket and make opponent miss. Or circling your opponent.
Another thing is to hit your opponent and retreat out of harms way and return a minute later to do the same, just to score a point line the amateurs. Call it what you like, but at the end of the day people will pay to watch a good fighter fight. His style is not to appealing to casual fans.

Great to watch FIGHTERS standing toe to toe, boxers don't, toe to toe is for fans, skill is for winners

    word for word :good
but there is a 'get out clause' on those last 4 words which sometimes comes into effect. it's why we love boxing

I never accused a fighter of running but that was the one of most negative performance from a boxer I've seen. People accused De La Hoya of running against Tito but Oscar put more hurt of Tito in a few rounds than Lara did the whole fight. If that wasn't running I don't know what is.

There were a few occasions when Canelo actually had to jog towards his opponent because the gap between them was so huge. Lara regularly did a full lap of the ring then to only threw a jab and begin another lap. He was simply far to negative, he was losing rounds due to inactivity and by being unwilling to throw.

I didnt score the fight, cause I was at a party, but that was an impression I was trying to tell the guys there. He had HUGE times when he wasnt throwing at all, and Canelo was stalking and throwing when he got close. I was telling them, that looks really bad to the judges when you aren't just fighting defensively, but trying to be negative by creating space.

I cant believe Lara tried to fight so negative knowing he was the B-side to a VERY BIG A-side..

Hit and not get hit....except when you get slowed down by body shots and then keep getting caught by left hooks to ur side when u about to run

He looked good at the start but isn't no floyd mayweather
