Anyone who says Tyson couldn't fight past 6 rounds and refuses to see there was prime

Tyson and a head gone Tyson, watch the tony tucker fight again.he didn't get the ko,and tony then was a hell of a lot better than he gets credit for,and watch how Tyson fights full blast through 10 rounds, taking massive shots along the way.watch his movement and hand speed then fast forward 3 or 4 fights and see the decline.tyson would beat Lewis and Holyfield handily and I'm a fan of both

Definitely agree. Ribalta fight is another great example.

Used the wrong fight to argue your point; Tucker was a poor man's Lennox Lewis, and he took Tyson the distance in a very competitive, if not close, fight. I agree that Tyson's prime was in the 80's and he wasn't the same fighter when he did face Lewis, but if Prime Lewis (2002ish) faced prime 80's Tyson, Lewis still wins, in a more competitive fight that maybe goes the distance.

Personally I disagree Prime Tyson's style was made to hunt down guys like Lewis. Guys who took the fight to Tyson and could take a great punch are what give Tyson problems.

I chose that fight purposely,Tyson was expected to get the ko,but the portrayal that he was always a mental midget and crumbled when faced with adversity is rubbished in this fight, and like I said before, tucker on his day was a very good fighter and this was the fight of his life, some of the punishment he took in this fight would have seen off many and that includes lewis

When people say that they are pure tyson haters.

The tyson 1985-1988 was a complete different fighter.

He was a real fighter then

He was nott the same after he left rooney he turned into a completely different fighter

Nobody is in their prime at ****ing 20. Tyson wasn't in his prime in the 80s, he was just fighting nobodies. Any version of Lewis beats the midget.

Tyson never reached his prime, but the closest he got to it was in the 80's.
Anyone who refuses to accept tysons life crumbled aswell as don king ruining him 3 years in jail and lack of discipline took a toll on Tyson is an idiot.he was just that good that a jaded version was still good enough to beat most

I agree...people choose to judge Tyson on his 'finished years' and act as if he was always that bad but somehow winged it through the 80s.

Tyson was a wrecking machine but you can't knock everyone out all of the time. This is what made him so great, even against adversity when faced with big tough guys who would not go down and were fighting back hard, he would comprehensively beat them over 12 rounds, barely losing a round.

If Mike was always a quitter as some people like to make out he would have quit many many times before.

It's the mental midget stuff I find unfair. I know it's meant in a boxing sense but mental midgets don't go from gutter rat to heavyweight champion without a fair degree of mental and emotional fortitude.
Sure he got a break with Cus but ultimately it was still down to Tyson.
Bobby Stewart routinely kicked his ass in sparring but Tyson came back to learn.

It's not as if Mike made it on pure talent alone...an enormous amount of self-sacrifice and discipline was needed from him to get where he wanted to be.

True mental midgets and true bullies woukd have given up after being dropped in sparring or getting a few bloody noses. They would have found excuses not to go to the gym.
To his credit, Tyson was extremely dedicated in his early years. Holyfield said that Tyson used to outwork even him. That's pretty high praise.

It has been well known and said countless times already that the only people that underrate Tyson's stamina never experienced him in his prime. Those are the fans that started watching Tyson post prison.
