    Will need:

Stamina to fight all of 12 rounds at a high pace, just like Mayweather himself.

A long stiff jab like De La Hoya, to use while coming in.

    The courage/tenacity of Ricky Hatton.

The ability to soak shots up like Baldomir.

    Intelligent pressure, ala Roberto Duran.

Constant bobbing and weaving as you close the distance, Joe Frazier style, to negate those sharp counters as best as possible while landing your own firepower.

And of course, at least average speed of both hands and feet to actually land punches in the first place and to bull him against the ropes/cut off the ring.

…..Is there anyone out there who has all of these qualities? Because if there isn’t, Mayweather is going to either retire unbeaten or only lose after his speed and reflexes have eroded due to age, and even then it won’t be easy due to his very solid technical foundation.

definatley prime DLH an SSM.... but when the rematch with DLH an PBF takes place i think oscar has a chances... he was shooting PBF head back when he used his jab.... then he jus stopped using it for no reason.... then thats when the fight went down hill

maybe someone can just have the pressure and determination and speed like hatton and maybe catch floyd going back or be able to hurt him with a good shot like corley or zudah did. But curley was a ok puncher and zab had speed and skills, but he just fell of entirly. I thought and still think zab may be the one with the most "needed" skill to beat floyd.. just my opinion though..............

i dont think you would be able to catch floyd going back wards.... i think that you have to let him come to you in attack mode an catch with a straight right hand or maby a upper cut cause PBF favorite punch is the feint with the left so maby some hand speed

Cotto doesn't have all those qualities, but got a good chance to beat him.
Remember as someone told me , nobody is as good as his bets fight or as bad as his worst, Mayweather victory was good but he's far from invencible

i mean maybe like how kelly caught naseem in their big fight. But i dont think and havnt seen floyd make those kind of mistakes though. But ricky DID catch him in almost the same manner but moving sideways on the rope with a looping punch/hook but it had no effect on floyd.

You are exactly right. If zab could fight 12 whole round instead of just 4 i think he had the best chance out of anyone to date to beat floyd.

If i recall Zab knocked floyd down in their fight, the ref just didnt see it. Floyds hand hit the canvas. Zab fought a helluva first 4 rounds lol only if he didnt have the attention spand of a 5th grader and fought the whole fight.

Yup i think he was the ONLY one that had the skills(speed, quickness, power)to beat floyd. But he got frusterated and winded and all hell broke loose!!!

naw utmike i think there will be one last week DLH had an interview an said hes fighting in may an then again in september.. he said hes looking at the winner of mayweather hatton an cotto... so i think hell fight cotto in may (an i think he could knock cotto out an the floyd in september) PBF gets a long break they both come off KO wins an big wins an make even more money
