Anyone with a brain has known all along - Jones has been SHOT for FIVE years!

In the short time I have been here, I've lost count of the number of morons I have seen trying to talk up Jones.

Jones used to be the greatest fighter on Earth. As soon as he struggled woefully to defeat Antonio Tarver, a man he would have blown away with ease in his prime, it was clear that the great man was finished.

He was KO'd by Tarver, KO'd stone cold by Johnson, dominated by Tarver, and by then only the horribly ******ed could not see that he was not just shot, but completely and utterly shot to pieces.

For some bizarre reason, people were then convinced that a Jones renaissance was underway because he beat three sub-standard patsys. A points win over someone no-one had ever heard of before or since, a points win over someone that Dirrell KO'd early in his next fight, and a points win over a fat and ancient light-heavyweight version of Felix Trinidad.

It was painfully obvious that Joe Calzaghe would embarrass him, and so it came to be.

YET AGAIN after wins over handpicked losers like a past-prime Sheika and a shot Lacy, the delusional masses predicted Jones winning a cruiserweight title (the very idea was ****ing laughable) and even beating Bernard Hopkins :)patsch).

DOES THE WORLD NOW, AT LONG LAST, ACCEPT THAT JONES HAS BEEN SHOT TO **** FOR YEARS???

Jones was not shot, but he was diminished. Anyone who is past thier prime fights diminished and it gets worse and worse. As for Jones, he became more and more diminished but he still could beat some good guys. That happens with age. But the best fighters have all fought diminished. Hearns beat Virgil Hill when he was diminished, but he used experience to win that fight and preserved his stamina and he beat a great fighter . Many guys fight diminished, but it should not be a way to discredit a great win by Danny Green.

To give Oscar credit though, Oscar fought the great fighters and Roy did not. Oscar always looked to fight the best and Roy didn't. Oscar fought Tito,Chavez,Pernell,Hopkins,Pacman,Mayweather. and then lesser guys like Mayorga and Vargas and Quartey. Roy never fought that quality at light heavyweight. Totally different situation.

Jones looked pretty awesome against Lacy. He was caught by a lucky punch today.

He hasn't been the same. And yet he still carried a top 5 ranking at 175 going into the Green fight last night.

RJJ fought quality guys -- I could HOF's on his win list and other decent opposition.

Stop trying to diminish his achievements. Oscar did fight a lot of HOF's but also got gifts and didn't perform the best at times in his biggest fights. But he has one of the best opposition list out of any pro today or over the last 15 years.

Shot for 5 years? Not according to Anglosaxon. Anglosaxon said that when Jones faced Calzaghe, Roy was near his prime and Calzaghe was the one that was shot to pieces.

Dont shout about it! Shitty fighters need guys with good names, but past it skills! How would a average guy like Green do so a number overwise?
