I wrestled for like 10 years, and it is definitly intense. More intense than any other highschool sports I've played in or seen practices of. I went into boxing thinking that it would be really easy and that if I was able to wrestle, boxing should be nothing. After a few months of boxing though, I can say that it is very similar to wrestling intensity and conditioning wise. I guess that depends on how hard you work yourself and what the workouts at the gym are like though...
ive been wrestling m ad long but its differnt conditioning. like boxing your heart and **** gets tired and your stomacha fter the punches. wrestling your muscles get tired and your heart a little
I wrestled high jr. high through college. Excellent conditioning sport. Similar to boxing in that high endurance is key. More pure strength is necessary in wrestling. I boxed as well. For pro boxing, especially ten rounders, more aerobic endurance is necessary than for college folkstyle and freestyle wrestling. However, wrestling rarely allows a break, while in boxing you can pace your self at times. Both great sports. I have my sons involved in both! Great for physical fitness, self defence and character / competitiveness building.
